So it's murdering me that my laptop sucks so much ass. I was wondering if I should get a laptop out here that can actually do a bit of gaming. This might be impulse buying but I was wondering if anyone has any laptop suggestions that are under $1000 but can actually play games.

If you're willing to go a little over, you can get a Lenovo IdeaPad Y500. It's approximately $1049 and pretty good laptop overall.

If battery life is maybe a concern, and you don't mind spending a little more than the $1,000. This is from a custom PC shop, i've only heard good things, this laptop will give you the newest mobile gaming gps, and a bigger screen. They do offer military discounts, but it looks like you have to contact them first to see if you qualify. Also i'm not 100% sure they'll ship outside the US, but they might.
