You basically fight a big boss monster in a small arena map and get rewarded based on how much damage you can get in before you wipe. Its best to do it as a team, since you need to wager your ingots on the competence of your teammates, and that's always a bit of a tossup with pugs.
Also, it requires that you use ingots that have been farmed throughout the event all week.
