Alrighty, here's all I've learned so far about rolling and building decent toons in Champions. So far I've pretty much dominated PvP and PvE with these basics in mind. However, as more players (us and not us) come to master these basics more expanded schemes and builds will most likely evolve.

These Super Stats not only are a huge boost right when you select them but also level with you.

The first one is almost chosen for you if you're not careful. This is the Innate Talent at level 1. For most folks who pick a Framework (powerset) and just click next to get to the Character Creater screens you'll have an Innate Talent selected for you. These auto-selects can be alright. Typically though a player can make a better selection once they decide how they want to build the toon. Each Framework has its own unique Innate pre-selected that isn't (as of the Open Beta...) re-selectable once you opt out of it.

Go ahead and pick an Energy Builder power and a level one regular power (no probs with picking the two from the Framework you wanted initially) and then it will ask you which Innate Talent you'd like. These will give at least +4 or +5 to everything and up to +12 to a few selects stats. There's quite a selection so look them over. I'll post after this explaining the pros and cons of each Innate.

How does this actually WORK for the character? Well, since there's the two Super Stats, these two stats determine ALMOST EVERYTHING about your character. It will determine most of the damage you will deal with your powers how well your buffs will work and how effective some of your pets' abilities will be too. Some stats are better for certain things! Strength is good for melee damage. Presence will help your pets no matter what. Constitution goes straight to calculating hitpoints, etc. The game can explain all that in more or less detial. The important part of this post is to simply explain Super Stats and how they will determine much of your character's ability and potential.

Putting these two togther will make all powers cheaper to cast and you'll have more Endurance as well. ON TOP OF THIS they will still determine damage output and all that fancy stuff. Another personal fav of mine is Dex/Ego. I've gotten some great Critical damage output with this and its pretty nice in PvP to have silly criticals (even on my energy builder attack XD). I'm sure any combo can work but some will have some interesting synergy.
