That's what I have, I'm thinking my video card is the weakest link? I dont have enough money for a whole new comp, but I have enough to upgrade one(maybe two) things. I don't know much about computers so if anyone has a suggestion or advice... please help me! Thanks.

Your graphics card will probably be able to run AoC on low or medium.  For me, graphics card is always the most expensive part for a computer so if you can live with it, then live with it.  I'm not experienced with Pentium since I use AMD but you wouldn't want to change your motherboard so that it's compatible for an AMD chip.  I would say switch to a dual core with an operating speed of 3GHz or more.

If you do switch graphics card, which I still recommend that you do, you should go for the NVIDIA 8 series instead of 9.  Go with the 8600GTS or if you have the $$$ GTX.

Yeah I'm playing beta now, it is really taxing my system on low setting. BUT it could be the debugger they have running for stress test. Hopefully the new video card I ordered will help a little. Only other option I have is Vista for dx10 or getting a new mother board/processor.

Dx10 is not working yet. Upgrade your drivers to 16x.xx version you can upgrade your GPU but can't do much since you have Pentium D. Just as well wait and see if they fix all the issues at release and whether the game will succeed.

Another question: Is Windows Vista worth upgrading to for dx10?

Yea, if you wanna risk throwing away all your pirated programs =/...which I'm sure none of us would ever use any pirated programs.

lol i havent updated my driver since 2 januarys ago.. maybe thats why im finnaly getting server lag on everything.. >.>

Yeah, I'm at the point where I need to upgrade to 2gig of memory and getting a dual core Intel processor and mobo to get AoC to work affectively. Right now the one I've got would choke the minute I spawned on the server.
