It's time for a new banner... (Benediction)

Well, just like the original thread, this thread is going to be a showcase of banners done by our site artists. However, this time, instead of Vindictive, we need Benediction banners. So make them look heroic, epic and inspiring.

Use this thread as a request for anything you need, such as pictures of Benediction members, etc. When you've finished your design post it here and we'll have a vote. You may also post prototype designs you have for feedback before the completed version. Anyone is welcome to post their designs.

I'll be working on one as well, but I'm not as good at photoshop as some of the others here are. Still I'll give it my best.

That's taking the dimensions of the current banner. But if that's a weird size (Genma came up with it, blame him in that case

) then adjust it. But in that neighbourhood. Text should say Benediction. We haven't really come up with a motto yet. But I guess "City of Heroes, Protector Server" or something along those lines works.

Also, the text "All must bow down to the indomitable will of The Great Lord and Saviour, Tryden" should be incorporated into the banner. Me whipping lowly minions like Envy would add to the dynamic nature of the banner.**

Other than that, go nuts.

Nite sweet banner! Me and Dream are actually trying to figure out a motto for Benediction right now, so we'll let you know. I e-mailed you my photobucket account info so you can log in and use any of the CoH pictures there for your final banner design.

Also the fact that you actually put in all must bow to Tryden is hilarious lol. Gave me a good laugh.

As I said in Vent. I have the other version with out the "Bow Down" text..&nbsp; Thought you would get a kick out of that.. Anyways you get with the others and see what they want for a motto and such and get back with me.
 
Could you post the banner without the text? I want to use it to see how I can incorporate it with our current banner (maybe as a .gif)? Also, if you don't mind, I'm going to create a little text box on the front page attributing the current banner as Genma's and the Benediction one as yours.

I ask because that might cause a bunch of people to bombard you with e-mails asking to do banners for their site too.

Great job! that banner is truly beautiful!

But, I was just thinking, a banner that would look like

Vindictive&nbsp; /&nbsp; Benediction

It would have Vindictive on the left hand side of the banner, with a few of Vindictive's finest members and a big / slash in the middle and on top saying Benediction, and a few of Benedictions finest on the other side and they are all facing the middle.

I don't know how hard that would be to make, but it would be bad ass for the banner!

Here is the other version without the text. And I believe that the Vindictive / Benediction might be possible as I do have some links to some villian renders. OR if you can get your bad boys/girls to gather for a few screen shots that would be great too..

I am going to try and do something else. I just got some good renders of the Villians side today. I am going to try and do a combo banner when I get a chance. Benediction on one side and Vindictive on the other. Not sure how it will turn out but I am going to try and give it a shot.
 
Okay so I've been doing a lot of thinking about how to incorporate both banners. And my idea was, can we create a .gif that can gradually fade from the Vindictive banner to the Benediction one, and vice a versa?

Not sure how much flexibility Nite and Genma have in doing that, but if maybe you two can suggest whether something along those lines can be done?
 
If I had a way to host up some swf. files I could incorporate both into a swish banner. I have that program also but now my host provider that I used to have does not support swf. files. Swish max makes some excellent intro's for websites... Or banners for that matter.

What's needed for it? Because that sounds like a really fantastic idea. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to incoporate both banners without getting Benediction a second site, and that seems to be the best way (having one gradually fade into the other) that I could come up with.
 
I will recheck my site once again to see if it will allow me to host a swf.&nbsp; (swishmax) file. And then I will get back with you.&nbsp;SWF files are just like flash files but a different program. It will allow music, special effects and junk like that. Pretty cool stuff. I will have to&nbsp;create a test swf. file and see if it will upload. This may take me a little bit but none the less I will get back with you.
