Let's talk about a new game

Hello Vindictivites (Vindictarians?),

I think we can safely say our epoch in Warhammer has come to a close, and although some of you are playing various games, we don't currently have an official one. That puts us in a pretty interesting position we haven't been in for quite a while. In fact, ever.

So, I must ask out of obligation: what game does everyone want to play? Needless to say I'm not restricting anyone to a single game (although if we're all playing an awesome, story-driven masterpiece like Lord of the Rings Online, and you're playing EVE, we'll laugh and spit at you. Loser). Play what you want, but in the end, we need a game to call home.

This group was created first as a community to play together, and second, as a group that would achieve end-game content and uber wtfpwnage PvP status.

For the latter we need to return to our roots and find a game to dominate. Coming from Warhammer Online, I learned a lot of lessons, and I plan on starting up Vindictive in a new game without repeating previous mistakes.

So with that, let's open up the thread to opinions, Froozisms and the general scat-themed pornography that will inevitably emerge because you're all amoral scumbags.

I'm thinking of Aion, Swtor, Age of Conan, and maybe Global Agenda if it's ub3r.<div>

While I agree with a lot of the games other people said, I want to point out most of these with the exception of Aion are still quite far away.

One of the things I loved about playing Warhammer was that whenever I logged on, someone was ALWAYS online. It reminded me of Benediction at its height when we had 20, sometimes 30 people at the same time, and you could always get a team.

I noticed a lot of people don't post here anymore since Vindictive quit Warhammer, so maybe we should try a game we've already played, like WOW or AOC, to pick up new people for the guild getting ready for a future releases. That way we can play together now and be ready to be a hardcore guild when a new game comes out.

I know a lot of people here have WOW accounts, and I personally would like to see something where we all transfered our mains to one server and created a super guild.

Those are my two cents.

Me and lanks are playing a free MMO right now that came out a few months ago called Runes of Magic. it's WoW-like and it has a dual class system(can play two classes on one char). the only race is human, and you have 6 classes: mage, priest, warrior(dps), rogue, scout(archer), knight(tank), and whatever you pick for your main class you can have whatever you want for your secondary class. anyways check it out:

Hanna, Corwin, Corwin's GF Cat and myself are all enjoying City of Heroes at the moment.<div>
</div><div>There's really only three games I'm looking forward to out of the MMO market:  </div><div>
</div><div>Star Wars, Champions and Global Agenda.</div><div>
</div><div>Star Wars and Champions are pretty close in level of anticipation for me so I guess they're both 1st.  I see Global Agenda as kinda more like a shooter in that I'll play it probably for several hours a week but then I'll most likely go to a more conventional MMO for the social interactions.  That is, of course, if it doesn't have any way to normally interact socially while playing.</div>

Well Im waiting for swtor and global agenda. So for now I will cont. to play warhammer, and tryden can i have your account i will use game cards on it PLS.

Zaz

Waiting on Global Agenda.

Not too keen on anything star wars, and I dont know much about any other games coming out other than Aion, which is kinda meh from the little bit that I played.

As for WoW, all I have to say is I'd rather place my penis in a running blender than subject myself to that game >_>

Dammit, why dont any of you like Vanguard? >_<;;

I may break down and try CoH for a bit, but right now with new job I dont have that much time to play anymore, so it's all a moot point anyway.

Well, Aion might be a bit much for my pc but it's still playable, and unfortunately AoC gave my video card convulsions. I've actually looked at CoH/V a few times and considered trying it.
As far as WoW goes - that could be fun with a real guild. When I quit playing it I was incredibly bored because my guild (aptly named Failure) had been slowly dying for a while, and I ended up being the only one on for days at a time.
I'm open to trying any game, basically.

edit: except for warhammer. I still have hard feelings towards warhammer.

</div><div>Aion doesn't require an ub3r system or anything.  If you can run Age of Conan or Warhammer, then you can probably run 9 Aion's at the same time on that computer.  No.  I.  Am.  Not.  Fucking.  Exaggerating.</div><div>
</div><div>Not.  One.  Bit.</div><div>
</div><div>No really, I'm not, it barely requires anything.</div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>Really it doesn't.</div><div>
</div><div>Wow fuck just download the fucking game and find out for yourself I'm fucking serious.</div><div>
</div><div>It doesn't require much at all.</div><div>
</div><div>Seriously guys wtf, I'm telling the truth here.</div><div>
</div><div>God damnit fuck this.</div>

I'm pretty much just waiting for Swtor or Global Agenda. From what I played of Aion it doesn't seem like a game that will have much in the way of endgame.

I was back on AoC for a couple of weeks but it is just too boring.

Also re-reading my original post, to clarify on the "learning from mistakes made" part. It was in reference to my own failures as a leader, and my intention to learn from those mistakes, including giving someone else leadership if I feel I can't fulfill the role in the future (as should of been done during our time in Warhammer).

But that being said thanks for the feedback so far guys. I'm going to let more people post in the thread before I weigh in with some suggestions. There's good ideas and good points coming from everyone. Except Spine, who may have had a drug-induced breakdown in this thread and may or may not be passed out in a motel next to a Guatemalan transsexual.

Ultimately I just want to have one game we can focus our energies into so we can:

A) have fun together

and

B) build a strong guild that will do everything a good guild should be doing, like endgame content and all that jazz.

So please keep the ideas coming.

Also, sure Zaz, you can have my account. It's not paid for though at the moment since I cancelled it. Feel free to keep it.

</div><div>Lolz wut happund??!</div><div>
</div><div>PS:  Can we go FPS for a bit while waiting for the many anticipated MMoRPGS to be released?</div>

I'm mainly waiting for SWTOR as well, but as has been pointed out, it's still a ways away. As for something to play for now, I don't have much an opinion to offer... I'm poking around COX a little bit still, but I'm more focused on things in real life things right now. Things like lots of quality time with Beatlebabe...
