Move to Freedom is a go!

So, with a good batch of players today, we started our first toons on Freedom. Both Vindictive and Benediction have been set up.

The vote on the move is currently:

19 for (5 players didn't vote on site, I talked to them in game)
6 against (3 players again talked to in game)
3 undecided

I've been getting a lot of input from current officers and from our playerbase about this move. I'd like to make it clear we'll still keep our SGs on Protector. For those who want to stay, I still hope to run events on Protector in addition to our new groups on Freedom.

Right now our big project is going to be our villain raid team on Freedom: we're currently leveling toons that will be able to see this goal realized. If you're interested in taking part read my base raid guide here. It'll be updated soon to include info on powerset proliferation. We may have been big fish in a small pond on Protector, but the roles will definitely be reveresed on Freedom.

I also ask all Vindictive officers who have toons on Freedom to help us build our new SGs by devoting their time to running with us. I understand some of you have toons in other SGs, and that's understandable. But if you're making new toons please try and place them in our new SGs. These first few months will be the most crucial to make sure this gets off the ground.

Yeah, I have a toon in each of the groups now. My two 3x's are staying in Hate's SG's. I have two lowbies in each that I'm undecided about yet, but will be moving other toons into our SG's as well. I'm honestly enjoying freedom way more than I expected to. There are plenty of great people to be found on that server.

Well, I got my 34ish scrapper in Ben already and my ice/storm corr in Vin.&nbsp; I have a 19ish ice/kin corr also.&nbsp; The 19 is in Freedom's VG with the highest prestige (no 1 VG I guess) but meh, I'll nab the inf bonus when I ding 20 and pop into Vin.&nbsp; The ice/kin will most likely be my main Raider too unless I roll an ice/dark to couple with my wife's fire/dark (a vague idea of mine I haven't told her about yet, lol)

Anywho, lovin our raid team so far.&nbsp; Lots of fun ideedy&nbsp;

Do we want my lvl 41 necro/dark mastermind here? I've been told it's was the best debuff build for MM's for PVP, at least prior to stormies. It's on Pinn and I'd like to move it somewhere else...

Last night I did an ITF run with Fusion peoples, at the request of a really good friend of mine. So during the run our move to Freedom came up during conversation. One guy, who is a very nice and helpful guy (PL'ed my bane from 42 to two bars to 49 during double XP) said he would be interested in joining us over there possibly. And Midas also said he was at least curious about the possibility as well. A few others seemed to appreciate why we where doing it, but didn't say anything more than that. I'm not saying "joint venture" or anything, but we have any issues with letting a few of them come play with us on Freedom?

Tryden, before I re-activate my account, what kind of toons would you like for raiding? Specifically, what kind of toons would you like me to make, because you know my play style and would probably know what I would be of best benefit with.
 
We should start a thread for the raid team about what toons people are working on. I got a mind/ice dom going too. Pretty cool so far, at lvl 8... lol
 
Im not so sure if dominators are the way to go.
I mean, any decent team is going to have clear mind or thaw.
And with speculation of perma-dom getting nerfed i think i would rather have some more thermals on the team.
 
For the record, I have no problem with welcoming players from FUSION, especially experienced ones like Midas

Ibring this up in my base raid guide. I'm not big on them for base raidsfor exactly that reason. I'd do it all corrs and a few MMs if I had itmy way
 
What do we have for corrs so far? I'd be interested in doing an ice/cold or fire/cold that's focused on damage/debuffing. I was thinking the same thing about doms when I was playing in Mids tonight.
 
Me, False and Jared ran 3 forts together last night on a team with mainly VEAT's and a few Corrs. They freaking pound together. It was really fun. Can't wait to get mine to 50 and get it IO'ed out. Should be crazy then.
