Newbie Errors to avoid so you don't cry later

I haven't played at all, but I'm really looking forward to the game :). Does anyone have tips to avoid those problems that will never go away and make you wish you could reroll? LIke......idk investing in a useless stat or something. Basically tips to avoid noobtraps please :)
 
Don't forget that you can under achieve quests! Me and a few others were stuck collecting boar meat in the starter area for well over 30 minutes not knowing that we could just under achieve the quest and move on to a less populated area and have a better chance at tagging mobs!
 
Considering that you can change your class at will and try all the crafts long before you have to commit, I can't think of anything that isn't reversible..... Well don't pick the wrong faction.lol.(west if you dont know ;-]).
 
One more thing, if your going to be a pay to play customer and subscribe, make sure to grab land early, but I have another thread about that.
