Long ago, in Ancient Rome, there existed a Demi-god who's power was connected to the earth. As long as he was in contact with the Earth, his wounds would disappear and his fatigue would wash away. He was defeated by Hercules when the son of Zeus lifted him off his feet and strangled him. The creature's dying breath was to curse Hercules and say that he would one day return.
Thousands of years later, the people of M.A.G.I., a magic based hero recruiter that operates out of Atlas Park in Paragon City, were called upon to create a magic that would help defend the citizens of Paragon from the numerous villians that constantly threatened the city.
The magicians used arcane powers to meld animal instincts with human intelligence and cunning together with the spirit of the Earthen god. The experiment was a success, but had horrible consequences. The animal used was a Timberwolf, and the Human, a former Marine. The strain of the mixed pyches broke the mental barriers of all three beings and resulted in a form of insanity. The animal instincts took control and the new creation struck out, killing everything in its path before finally being overrun by LongBow agents somewhere around the area known as the Hollows.
Months later, under the care of the magicians in the Brickstown Prison, The Ziggurat, the creature, now calling himself Stone Fang, had been helped to a point where the three consciousness' were working together. The bad part was that the three agreed that what had been done was a travesty and needed to be redressed. A hatred for Longbow grew into a hatred for all heroes, and Paragon City in general. When Lord Recluse raided the Zig and began the "Destined Ones" program, Stone Fang was at the forefront of the breakouts.
Due to his mytical nature, the full extent of his powers is unknown. What is known is that he can still draw strength from the Earth and use it as a defensive and offensive mechanism. Somehow, he is also able to summon Eldritch Energy into his fists with devestating effect.
