So, as some of you know, my accounts have been deactivated for the last month. I've been taking a break just to keep CoH fresh for me, and to take off the weight of trying to lead two groups in two different MMOs, because it was overwhelmingly stressful during the onset.
But the time off did me well.
First off, I just want to apologize to everyone for my absence, and thank the people who stuck around and are trying to pull through. Thanks to people like Zaz, False, Imagikan, Nite, Blue, Shy and all the others in CoH (sorry if I'm missing your name, I've been gone for a month
) that keep playing and keep the SG alive. Also thanks to Ivy and Mikey in AoC especially, and all the active roster (Ubber, Keg, Art, Spine, everyone else who I'm missing) for keeping the flame alive.
To those worried we're heading down the drain fast, don't sweat it. Our activity has natural ebbs and flows. Last year, Vindictive became inactive in CoV because some of us migrated to WoW. Then WoW died when I was banned. But luckily, our CoV VG got reinvigorated by a great roster of officers (Envy, Babe, Sam, Jimmy, Blue, Stomp, Dom, Ubber, etc.). When I came back, I made a stupid mistake of trying to run things, not realizing a perfectly great leadership team was in place. 90% of those officers quit and it seemed like Vindictive was finished.
But we bounced back with the creation of Benediction in September '07, and we became one of the most successful SGs on the server. A lot of old faces returned and a bunch of new ones joined the fray.
Now in AoC it looks like we'll be taking on a bunch of new faces with a guild merger. And I hope to return to CoH and start raiding once again, this time, with Vindicitve for more of a challenge.
So sorry for the long winded write-up. Just wanted to fill everyone in, and reaffirm my committment to our community. Because this really is an awesome group of people. In return, I ask everyone else to drop in and say hi if you've been away. If not, stay in touch at least.
