So I got a new computer. . .

While I was in Toronto I bought computer parts and built a new computer, thinking I was going to get a drive back to Saint John with a friend. Well he bailed at the last minute and now it's stuck in Toronto since I didn't trust putting it in my luggage during the flight.

What's the best way to ship my computer (tower, 22 inch screen, sound system and printer) to a city 22 hours away by car, without spending over $400 (which is what a truck shipping company wants)?

It's good that you didn't fly it with you. When I picked my mom up from the airport last week we saw a couple of packages at the baggage claim that looked like they had been beat to shit. The one marked 'Fragile' looked like they ran it over a few times for good measure too - the box was crumpled, torn and half open. Great service.
Anyway, if you don't have anyone you trust willing to drive it over then you're going to have to trust strangers anyway you look at it. One option would be posting an ad on craigslist, but you're as likely to get ripped off as helped. Shipping companies are more expensive but more reliable, as long as you think your package can handle the rigors of irritated young men with something to prove.
You should've bought it at home!

Fed ex, ups, or dhl they cant cost 400 to send the stuff or what about the reg postal??  just insure it.
