Star Wars: The Old Republic

I hope you saw the coverage on it at E3.

The cinematic trailer was awesome!

Anyone's thoughts on what class they want to be? (considering they havent released alot of info on classes list anything)

bounty hunter
storm trooper
astro droid? lol

Or maybe a starship droid brain implanted into a Force shielded yslamarii clone.  Then mind flashed with TIE elite pilot memories and training and inducted into the ranks of a splinter Mandalorian clan.

Or perhaps a general who was dishonored on Coruscant and so roams the galaxy building a network of spies and agents in hopes to guide the Republic from the shadows.  All the while his superior gunsmanship earns him respect among the most nefarious and the most influential beings in the Outter Rim.

I'm really curious about how the Jedi and Sith will be setup in game, also this group that replaces the Jedi as defenders of the republic, who may or may not be a playable group. I'm curious if for example, Force Sensitive will be a base class, and then you train in game to become a Guardian, or will Jedi Guardian be the base class you pick at the selection screen. And will master classes like Watchman be in game. Based on the KOTOR games, I plan to roll a lightside Sentinel who only associates with the order enough progress in desired areas requiring such associations. If you can become stronger as a force wielder outside of the order, then I'll prolly leave/never join the order.

Ooo I dont think an angel, or ivy for that matter, could make me squirt as hard as I did when I saw that.

I must say, every bioware game i've picked up, has been awesome.
So i know they'll put their expertise to use in this game.

If you can start off as a jedi knight or something, i think that will be all you will see when you first start playing, jedi running around, kind of like fire/psi dominators in cov.

so, to that extent, my bet is that you will have a force sensitive class, and as you level (oh the joy of grinding) you become aware of certain powers, being able to be a master, sentinel, guardian, whatever. kind of like in knights of the old republic.

I kind of like the idea of being a bounty hunter, with the flamethrower and the jetpack.

But to me i'm thinking, if i come across another jedi (player or npc) can i kill it by myself or are the jedi just going to be so overpowered?

They say that there should not be any alpha classes. All classes will be viable and useful in the game. Just look at the movies and books, Boba Fett has a rep for killing anything and everything, Jedi included. It might just be a matter of tactics and what not. We'll see though... :p I agree though, they do make amazing games, that are superbly done.

:::dons fire retardant armor and forts up in his bunker:::

Now, having prepared, I state simply:  Star Wars sucks.  Except for the first three movies, which are nothing more than excellent movies.

Thank you.

/wrist   over all the SW fanboyism rampaging across Earth.

And just remember, I love you all
