Suggestions and Ideas

Some of the Officers were discussing ideas and the direction we'd like the SG to go in.  Here are some of the ideas that got presented.  Please feel free to add your own.

I know we raid a lot (or used to, hopefully that will start up again soon) but I'd like to see us get out and be seen more.  Maybe just do some fun stuff. 

Costume contests sponsored by Vindictive. 

Going to Mercy and picking a random lowbie and just getting a PuG together and malfactoring down to help them run the lowbie missions. 

Maybe sponsoring Arena events.  (That last is just thrown out there.  There are still some issues with Arena...) 

Also, when we do these events, I'd like to post them on the Protector Forum at the official site.  We can get more folks in on it that way. 

Where do I want us to go?  I want us to go to the top.  It doesn't matter if we have the most prestige or the biggest base.  It matters that our members are known and respected on the server.  I want people lining up to group with us.  I want 'em lining up around the corner to join us. 

Have everyone (20+) make a costume for one purpose only.  To run through Mercy Island and Port Oakes.  Just for Shiggles and Gits.  Everyone makes a cow costume and we run through the zones broadcasting "Moo"!  It just gets us seen and people will know we joke too instead of just being serious all the time.  (This is one of those off the wall type things that would just be funny to do.)

More stuff outside of Raids.  I'd like to see more take overs of SC and Warburg.  I have this sick image in my head of Vindictive ringing the globe and taking all comers.

Badge hunts.  And scheduled times for folks to get the Kill X badges.

I'd like to see a badge officer (if possible) who does the research and knows where to get all the historical badges.  We'll probably need them when I7 goes live for Accolades.

Along the lines of Accolades... Lowbies keeping their missions and having days when the SG just goes out to farm lowbie missions for the badges.

Superteams.  I'd like to see concept teams built into Vindictive or Vindictive Reloaded.  Think an all corruptor team, or a team where everyone takes the same powerset (radiation secondary for example). 

Short story contests here on the forums.  With infamy rewards in game.

Some sort of event where we are all visible in SG colors in a prominant part of a zone.  Just talking, BSing, dancing, tossing off random emotes...  Just something that keeps us visible. 

Scheduled TFs.  I haven't done any TFs in CoV yet except the respec and I think I'd like too. 

Going back to Warburg... Every level 30+ gets rockets and we get a video of all of us around the globe shooting them all off like fireworks.

Very well said. Also, we need fresh meat/new team players. Lets keep our toon alt. no more than 2 per member to make room or use Vindictive Reloaded.

Well Ubber, like I have already said, No one will have more than 1 Main and 1 Alt.  There will be exceptions made for those people who have more than 1 40 ( Yes Dak, I do mean you).  But also with that being said, not everyone will have access to more than 2 slots.  Its on a person by person basis and decided by myself and LadyFireGoddess.

I stated about a month ago when I came back that we needed to cut backto 1 main/1 alt, possibly even just 1 toon per member depending on howmany ppl we have in the sg.  I want all 75 slots to be taken up byactive members, thats my only wish for this SG.  The 1 main/1 altshould have NO exceptions, even to Overlords or old timers likeme.  You start letting ppl have more than 1 while restrictingothers and your going to have a problem.

Well Hell, I see your point.  The only reason that i would let Dak keep his guys is because he has had them in the SG forever.  Also, I think that he plays an important part with all of his toon in the SG.  The brute is nigh untouchable.  Its really up to him if he wants to let one of his toon out.  Unless, of course, LF has something to say about it.

No offense to Dak, but that shouldn't matter.  There should be nospecial previlages for anyone.  If he plays them all, just swapthem out whenever, but hopefully, eventually we'll need the space.

I agree with Hell on this one Stomp.  We can't have one law for the ruler and one for the ruled. EVERYONE must be treated the same.  No execptions.  We have Vindictive Reloaded, lets use it.  There is already a chat channel called Vindictive Members.  We can use that to keep in touch with those people playing alts in Vindictive Reloaded.

 Are these new rules to be posted soon?? I personally  agree with 1 alt per main.  And rules are rules, no exception unless clearly stated why.
On the other hand the alt is holding a spot in the SG. If we need to switch  alt during raids that spot will be available for that purpose.
As far as prestige goes, new lowbies bring more prestige to the SG. So it is kind of lucrative to the SG if we are able to create a new toon and bring it to the SG, under the premise that it is an alt.
The question is, what about promotion/ranking?? Shall we tell the Overlord who are main toon will be. Should only the main toon get promoted?? Would it be up to the member to decide who the main toon is??

I'm up for all of the above.  Which bring us back to the trash-talking. One of the interesting aspect of this game is the socializing. We relate to people within the SG, the coalition and with people we raid as well.
We should not lose the fact that we keep running into the same people at least once a week. So we need to keep those doors open. It will make it more fun to interact with other SG and other players, and have them admire our union. So I say YES!!! Let's get someone with a great PR skills and coordinate all these events.  OOH, sounds like a job for Dakeito!!! We need someone with good connections within the coalition to take care of this. Let's make July (or June if possible) an eventful month. 
I think the direction of the SG  I would like to see, is that of admiration. I want other players to want to join us. BTW how can we expand the membership?
