I know its pretty early to ask people to commit to any type of class or crafting proficiency but i would like to start to gather data on what is everyone's preferred roles(tank caster healer etc.) and crafts.

On top of that i would like to know is anyone at all interested in being a main Helmsman(boat driver) for the guild. One of the main projects as a guild that we will have to carry out is building our large ships(merchant ships and galleons). We will need players that are willing to sail the ships during pvp naval battles and trade pack delivery runs.

Our first merchant ship will be owned by Avis. I chose her for the job simply because if she cant get on or w/e i can easily sub in since we play right next to each other lol. I have yet to assign a helmsman for the first galleon or subsequent merchant ships. Clippers are also gonna be a large aspect of our fleet but those require a much smaller investment of resources thus can be taken care of on a personal level.

edit: forgot to mention that i will be playing a Swiftstone dps/cc focused class. Also i will be doing tailoring and carpentry.

I'm really digging the shadowplay/battlerage/auramancy spec I did during the beta. Gonna play around with some more tanky builds this cbt but probably going to stay in the tanky/bruiser kinda specs. I also started leveling up weaponsmithing in the cbt and it wasn't too awful to level and had some awesome rewards so I think I'm going to stick with that.

I'll very likely be playing Blighter during launch since it's the most well rounded melee class and it suits my playstyle.

As for crafting proficiencies, I'm going to be Leatherworking, Alchemy and Husbandry at first since crafted gear is the best there is. Although during early game, it is pretty common to be short on labor so it may seem like you have to focus on one or the other crafting proficiency(This also means one person cannot craft gear or weapons for several people at a time unfortunately).

But after level 50, you're going to have plenty of labor to spend so it's not uncommon to have most if not all of your desired crafting proficiencies ranked up to a significant amount though not at max, since only 2 proficiencies can be increased to max(50,000) at the moment.

Edit: Also this chart from Reddit is useful.

I AM THE MOTHERCUKING POTIONSELLER I AM THE ONE WHO MAKES THE POTIONS AROUND HERE IF ANYONE ELSE DARES TAKE MY JOB I WILL FUCKING DECK YOU!

I will be a tank. As for professions, I'm down for anything. Sense I'll be rocking plate mining will probably be a forerunner but if you have any ideas then I am open.

I'm definitely going to be a dps caster of some sort. I was playing a cultist in the beta, but not sure if I'll stick with it. I need to do some more theory craft research.

PvP wise, I'm much better of taking orders from someone else, so I'd be a poor galleon driver. But I'd be willing to drive a merchant ship for trade runs.

Not sure what I'm going to do for crafting yet, but maybe we should get a list together to make sure all the professions that we'll need for a fast start are covered and then take it from there?

Good idea I'll edit the top post with a list of the vocations and start putting peoples names next to the craft they choose.

I won't know for sure what i'll be doing till i actually get a character created, however i seem to gravitate towards ranged physical dps...so usually my first characters are something along the lines of a ranger, so pretty much expect me to make something as close to that as i can get :)

I'll be rolling with a darkrunner at launch most likely. But I'm down to be a boat driver, I'm aiming for a galleon in alpha and see how it goes from there. Currently coming up with a boat name.

I'll probably be a spellslinger while leveling/general world play, lots of mobility and jumping around.

For group play I'll switch to vitalism/auramancy/etc in order to be a healer :)
