I always get a kick out of these threads on the official forums so I thought we'd start one here.


You know you play too much CoH/CoV when...

You see an accident on the way home and wonder which villian group is behind it.

You call in sick to work because you stayed up too late playing and now you're too tired to drive.

You show up late to work because you just HAD to get in a mission before work.

You check the official forums before you check your work e-mail.

All your friends and co-workers know who Doc. Vahzilok is even though none of them play the game.

You hear your 3 year old kid calling you from the bathroom that he's done and you call back to him, "One sec son!  Just let me finish this boss!"

I don't know about you, but I don't play with "CoX's", but whatever floats your boat I suppose....

=P I know, just messin with ya, but it does look better to post it asCoH/V rather than CoX.  At least thats my opinion.....

I think everyone has taken a break, including me.  I got alittleburnt out after double exp, I got spoiled and now exp at lvl 37 sucksanus so badly I don't even wanna envision it 10 lvls from now.
 
xp is only half as much if you get a good team you can lvl pretty fast since there is not many people on its hard to find a team thou. Right know i am the only person on, yesterday it was just Sixth and Johnoe

Im been playing Stomp SuX now that Stomp is 50.  And i was on late in the evening on fri,sat, and sunday.  i think im almost 23 with her.

I've been busy with real life. I have some issues going on in real life that includes a prospective surgery on my shoulder.  I'm also looking forward to a 2 week trip home to NY plus a large inspection at work coming up.  I get home from work and do that family thing lately.  My play time on everything is next to nil.  You don't even want to know how far behind I am on my school work...
 
Hope everything works out bro, I have a job interview tomorrow at 10 sohopefully I get it and get back to work earning some income.

Well I can't speak for now, but from November to April I played A LOT of CoV.

As in, I would stay up all night playing, then when 7:30 rolled around I'd head out to Denny's then off to work.

I learned all the stats of every base weapon and could quote them off the top of my head in a base raid. (i.e. Tryden "The elite chain gun does so and so damage." Hell: "You actually know that off the top of your head?")

I did our base designs at work during my lunch break. I also took time once to run Druid through a respec mission during my 40 minute lunch break. We were unsuccessful.

From November 11 to the day I hit 40 on December 12 (sometime around there) I only got 5 hours of sleep a night.

I knew everyone's voice on vent without having to check the names.

I knew the typing style of some people, so that even if they said they were someone else on an alt, I knew it wasn't true. (i.e. Dakieto, Hell and Genma)

I spent more hours with Tryden at 40 than getting him to 40. (Not really part of the question, but I thought I'd throw it out there)

When I was in the hospital, I wrote out for Steve to type the way I did and to use proper grammar. Also, I dictated all posts he should make on the forum. Even though I couldn't physically play the game, I still felt it necessary to run things.

One of the first things I did when I tested out my right hand again was draw a picture of Tryden.

Actually, i think i said "What the hell, thats pretty sad you know that off the top of your head...."

You crack me up!!.
I know I played so much....
    ..because I even dream of it.
    ..I do call in sick at work just to level a toon, or do a particular mish
    ..on DB Xp weekend, I played 21 hours straight. From Sat 8:30am to  Sunday 5:30am -nonstop!!!

    ...because after doing so many paper mish's all the CoTs start greeting you


Ubber, I also respond "no problem", and feel like I'm talking as in the game and started using shortcuts in my work emails...

But I don't mind I enjoy the game
 
heh, you know im playing too much Co* when i start posting on other peoples boards. hehe. oh ya and i was an hour late to work this morning b/c of this dumb game!!
 
  I was at Blockbuster Video looking at the titles when I realized that I was creating villains in my head based on flicks on the shelf.  I thought to my self  "yeah. I could make that toon.",  eg.'' V for Vendetta." Mutant or science, Brute or stalker and so on. That's when I figured out I'm suffering from too much CoV in the head.  Even at work I think up names, origins, and powers or I would respond to the E.R. Doc. "no problem" or "on my way". LOL.

I know I've played too much when I imagine my tenebreous tenctacles holding a group of people and seeing orange damage numbers coming out of them!
