Your view on re-rolling on Freedom

So like I said, I'm creating a thread on re-rolling Vindictive and Benediction on Freedom. We have the SGs set up there now, it's just a matter of player input. I'd like to hear from people playing on Freedom now, as well as those wanting to move and those against it.

I personally would go with it, but am not 100% sold. How does everyone else feel? Also, keep in mind, I would like to create a new raid team if we do move to Freedom, so at least we'll have a project to work on. And I hear there's some groups who have been unbeaten in raids on Freedom. We should change that.

Yeah, I pretty much think we are damned if we do, and damned if we don't here. On one hand if we move, we loose a few people who stay behind on Pro. On the other hand, we don't really have an PVP opportunities, only have each other to team with and risk the group continuing to wither in game, but no one gets left behind.
 
As much as I didn't like the idea, thinking about it now, I kinda like it, it will give us a new challenge, making and growing a new sg/vg on a bigger server, starting all over again, and being the new people on the block...of course until we start winning the raids

I agree with Claymore's assessment.

Some folks may stay on Protector but I think with constant activity on Freedom we may offer a setting for the stay-behinds to at least come over and try it out.  Alotta people I've talked to, and my own inhibition, is that there's no foundation to work from on a new server.  All that influence/infamy isn't there to simply transfer around or get whatever.

For teaming and PVP oppurtunities I think Freedom is the most viable and favorable option available.  There would have to be alot of work put into getting folks interested in Protector's PVP circuits again and all the while working against a crowd on the server forum that ridicules and puts down on most PVPers.  Utilizing Freedom would be next to no effort since we're all rolling a new character specifically for the raid team anyway.  I think it would be an awesome challenge to remake the base anyhow.

So overall I'm for rolling on Freedom.  I think it would be a good fun time and with things like the TF/SF Tuesday it would also give people chances to get back together either on Protector or Freedom and talk about what the folks on the other server has been up to.  The TF/SFs can sorta be like a little chain that keeps us talking and interacting

I started a tank on Freedom and feel there alot of people on that server that could produce some challenges. I can't even count how many times I was invited to a group with just a lowbie tank. Kind of be something new and exciting but I also think of the Protector server and who is going to take care of the base rent as well as try to keep the base stocked up incase we wander back to Protector. Didn't care to much for starting a new tank and having to run all over creation but its all the fun anyways. Sucks though not having any base to teleport to areas though.
If anyone is one early in the AM and in the Freedom server can someone send me the invite to the SG possibly?
I am game for the Freedom server! As long as we have a caretaker for the base on Protector.
 
So I was working on my night widow today, and I actually got invited to a team doing missions against lvl 42's and 43's or so. They SKed me up from 31 originally. It was an all VEAT team, and it was freaking awesome. We had some deaths being that a person or two was fighting +6's or got that "two unlucky hits in a row". I got 2 lvls with them before we broke up. Everyone was in different SG's, so not sure who all knew each other, but the conversation was great. All of us had "expertise" on different epics and a lot of Q&A going around about builds and what not. Everyone was very nice and courteous to each other, and even some teasing and making fun of one's self. I actually saw my ranged def was up to 131% with 3 mind links on top of all the maneuvers toggles. Melee def would be like 10% or so higher than that. So yeah, contrary to popular stigmas about the server, there are some really cool people on Freedom to be found.

As far as coalitions, R2H has a sweet villains base with all the fixings, should I try to sweet talk Hate on our behalf? If so, anyone got a sheep they would be willing to part with?

To address concerns about Protector: my desire would be to move to Freedom, but still leave Protector as a base of operations. For instance, if things like DBL XP weekends or a new patch launch lock us out of Freedom, we can always head back to Protector. Personally, I don't want to spend $50 and move all 5 of my 50s over to Freedom right away. And a lot of larger SGs I know operate on multiple servers anyway. That's my two cents.
 
That sounds good to me. Inifinity's becoming a ghost town, with all the good PvPers finally biting the dirt and heading to Freedom. It was good for a while but now it's become just like Protector.

I echo everyone elses sentiment. When does the move start?
 
This would actually bring more peeps on board (hint.. hint..) I might be coming back. :0) I had some friends over there from Pro, so I'm down with it.

I'm actually playing a little bit more too, keeping in touch with a few of the guys i used to hang out with, when we're ready for some pvp action, il let them know

I started my toon on the server and have it up to 21 at the moment. And have been on all weekend long. I have not seen anyone that can invite to the SG. Is there anyone going to be able to do that or I am just wasting time trying to get it leveled up? I know Blue has been on as well and was thinking I was in the SG. If we are not planning to do this some one please say so. Just a bit fustrated thinking that this was a go and yet no one shows and I almost sent a lvl 30 toon over to the server which would have been a waste of time.

A few are playing. I was going to switch and invite you, but thought someone already did. This isn't 100% yet ... but in all honesty, the vote right now is overwhelmingly in favour of doing so. I just want to ask the people on Freedom in other SGs do a leap of faith and come over to Benediction or Vindictive - both of which were made on Freedom

Xact was in Benediction last night, i saw him there in sirens call before i ganked him on my stalker.
If you dont have an invite by now let me know.

I've been over there now for a month, levelled a fort to 50, a stalker to 40, and a fire/kin to 41, can i plz have sg invite too?

Should be good to go! For those who need invites and are on late at night early AM I can get them over to you no problem.
Thanks Zaz for the help!  We also have Zaz to thank for a coalition with some peeps that have a full access to all area's base. Good Job Zaz and these guys seem pretty cool!

And will you be setting a date as to when you'll be playing again?
 
Yeah that sg helped us get to 150 members on benediction on protector.&nbsp; They have a great base and always willing to add ppl to their teams.
