Heres what happened.
1. Many Vindictive members leave City of Heroes to try out Aion which promised great pvp and has fantastic graphics.
2. People start to level up their characters, by level 10 some of the carebears leave Aion saying its not for them.
3. Tryden invites people from Aion into Vindictive, which is aspiring to be as powerful as our reign in City of Heroes.
4. There are some groups going around, however most people are soloing, as such there are huge level differences, some people quit as they cannot play with their friends.
5. People start complaining to Tryden, about their in game and real life issues. Tryden thinks about leaving the game because of the drama.
6. Some members are high enough to get into the Abyss, Fort raids!! Yay! Oh wait, all those fancy graphics have to be turned down to low and you can't see anything, did i mention the game crashes constantly during Fort raids? Not to mention the game is full of gold spammers, and as such the prices are simply outrageous, and botting... and the level 50s camping your questing area, all that XP you just received from your one hour grinding session was just cut in half because a 50 elyos 1 shotted you and you couldn't soul heal the XP back.
7. More bitching, I believe Tryden calls it quits around this time, nothing happens in game to address any of the issues of botting/gold sellers, very many people leave the game.
8. Our time in Aion in over, for the next 13 months the remaining people that keep in contact via the forum have no game to call home, even though they try random other MMOs, nothing brings back the joy they remember from playing their first MMO, a few people are done with gaming, either due to money issues, or just simply moving on, focusing on their job or family.
I lost touch with pretty much everyone besides Genma, who is playing Final Fantasy last i heard. I spoke to Tryden many moons ago, he is still working his journalism gig. I see Stomp has racked up many days on Modern Warfare 2 and has 4x my score on that game, I fired up City of Heroes to try out i19 (I read it was out by thanksgiving but it still hasnt gone up as of writing this) and the only Vindictive member I saw was Blue (who may be an ex Vindictive member by now i'm not sure)
I think thats about it, by the way i still have you on facebook and theres a little flash game called Backyard Monsters, it's pretty fun you should try it out.

Didn't said people who pissed Tryden leave Vindictive though? Haven't seen them post in a while. Why doesn't he come back?
Edit: +1 to Ivy.
