Activity ?

Ok guys I would really like to adress something Ive notice that there has been a lack of activity in the guild in the past few weeks.  I am not saying people have to play 24/7  like myself and a few others. But when I recuited people and I assume the other officers and Daemon Lord Tryden did as well told people that we were an active guild that was looking for active players.

I bring this up because we are trying to level the guild to unlock the goodies that come with higher guild renown. We also would prefer people to get on vent even if you do not have a mic, this allows us to all communicate and build friendships with everyone. We first and foremost want to enjoy each others company and build a loose association of friends in this guild. Yes we want to get to end game content in both RvR and PvE but we want to do it with people we get along with. Trust me I was in a raiding guils in WoW that was nothing but buisness the game became no fun it was just a job after awhile.

To get back to the topic at hand we need everyones participation to do this from the newest recuit to the officer and the leader himself. ( Yes Real Life jobs, families, and friends come first. We will never ask you to put a game before any of those things.) But what I am asking is time spent on Order side simply prolongs the exp the guildcould be getting, maybe we should all  roll order character on the order server we and one day a week we play those toons for a little change?

Yeah, I'm totally behind encouraging more activity. Of course real life stuff can't be prevented, and at no point should you be sacrificing real life priorities for in game ones.

But at the same time, if you guys are playing on different servers, maybe, like Aribella said, we should coordinate what servers those are and try to play at the same time. So instead of playing Order randomly we can organize "Order night" or something along those lines.

Also Uchoo suggested we try a new Order server because Volkmar's a little slow. I forget which one he sugggested but I'm sure he can post the name in this thread.

What does everyone else think?

Although I am fairly new (to the game, not the guild) Im all for it. The only problem for me is, I honestly think I like Order better. I have a couple RL friends, and we play on "Badlands" for Order. Now I know tryden set something up on a different server, but i'm already on Badlands. I will continue to play Destruction on Vortex and continue to learn the game more before I try to commit to anything.

Skull Throne

-This server is one of the most balanced servers.
-It is active in every Tier.
-You can get in Scenarios from 12 Am to 12 Pm.
-You won't usually see a wait time longer than 5 minutes for Scenarios.
-Highly active PvE.
-Lots of Open RvR.

.....Need I say more?

I agree, Volkmar has become somewhat lackluster since I picked it a few months back.  Populations shifting and all that.

I agree on an Order Server move for all those tasty things Uchoo mentioned.  Also, to add, Skull Throne is also one of the servers to have regular Capitol sieges; massive tier 4 orvr that culminates in the acquisition of the other side's capitol!

Question to anyone who knows: how do I transfer characters?  I have two or three that really need to be moved over and all I can find is the free transfers they have for moving from super small servers to more active ones.  Is there a regular character transfer service somewhere?  I have a Swordmaster I like muchly on Darklands, a Shadow Warrior and Witch Hunter (last two from Volkmar) who all need movin.

Also!  Almost forgot!

I agree that if we wanna get our Order fix we should coordinate a night or two to do so as a guild to build a presence as well as maintain presence on Vortex.  Aribella is spot on in saying that our activity seems a tad erratic.

Also!  We should maybe vote/Tryden decides which day so we get this ironed out sooner.  In the Vindicitive Calander on Vortex we should also put a weekly reminder for that day/those days so that folks who pop on will be clued in on where we're at.

no free transfers from volkmar or badlands to skull throne

I believe how active your members are impacts the guild rank, that it's not just a straight up total rvr xp gained.  I would start cutting the dead weight, say anyone who hasn't logged in for a month or 3 weeks or something? Unless they have posted a "Taking a break/going on vacation" type deal on the forums.

Unfortuantely, that would mean alot of our alts which we just don't play as often.  But we may need to think about this anyway if inactive toons are really affecting our rank gains.

Thanks for the heads up

Jared I believe in this statement he was refering to living breathing people in WAR not our alts who we occassionaly play I could be wrong but rarel am.

No, he had it correct, from what I heard alts slow down the guild level process.  One of two things can be done about it...

1) Create an alt guild for our alts (this is what my old guild did)

or

2) Seeing how everyone has the ability to invite, join the guild when you log an alt on then quit the guild when you log out.

I think even though option 2 might be a pain in the ass it's the best option, or what happened to Invictus could happen to Vindictive and the alt guild ends up with the more active players.  With option 2 at least you still add guild ranks.  (disclaimer: I have no idea if joining then leaving the guild has an impact on anything)
