The Pvp weekend just wrapped up as well and went ok NDA was lifted.

Fewclasses like Barbs and Rangers were Oped but balance wise not as badcompared to CoX, also consensus was casters are not very fun to play asin this world compared to Melee.
 
The PvP videos were enjoyable.  Seems like there's a lot of lag...I wonder how good his computer is cause that's a LOT of lag.

One thing I don't really like is the graphics.  It doesn't have the "ZOMG THIS SHIT IS AWESOME!!" feeling to it =/.  I would even go as far and say that it's probably only a bit better than Shaiya...and that's a free MMORPG.

Yea went to 5 FPS in mini pvp games was around 30 otherwise in Duo core 2 ghz, 2 gig and 256 MB 7800 gt labtop. Graphics look good better than Wow, CoX or War (from what we seen). The game has tons of armor sets, lvling is not too bad  and game captures the feel of the novels quite well.

For the bad the gameplay isn't revolutionary and the zones feel limited in scope like CoH (there is invisible walls, instanced (loading screens between zones and if one zone gets full another is created remember grandville 1,2 etc) etc). The feats aka talents aren't very impressive and some do not make much sense. Also open beta starts May 1st 50,000 will be invited, check your emails.

To get in open beta here are the instructions
-Need to have FP membership (costs 15 dollars) or Founders club (45 bucks) and you need to be signed in!!
-Check the FP website reguarly, bookmark and keep loading (do not refresh) that link. You can also use comrade tool they have to send you email when keys become available.

They come out in batches and are quickly filled if it says
Distrubuted: The keys are gone
Confirmed: Keys will be destributed in next 1 to 10 hrs
Coming Soon: Then keys will be distrubuted in next 1 min to 2 hr
AoC Forums check the beta threads

Yeah pretty shitty way to handle open beta i guess funcom needed the money. Anyway the client is 12 gigs downloading it not sure i will even be playing since i will be out of country next week.

Tortage is the newbie isle, disconnected from the rest of the game until you reach 20. Old Tarantia is the Aquilonian starting city it's an awesome sight to see.
 
Everytime I try to start AoC the screen freaks out and flashes/blinks black like it's having a seizure. :x 
 
Update your drivers or retart your comp, i had that happened when i first tried loading AoC
