Aion class description

So far I've played:<div>Mage -> Spiritmaster and Sorcerer</div><div>Warrior -> Templar and Gladiator</div><div>Scout -> Assassin (no Ranger yet)</div><div>Priest (isn't level 10 yet)</div><div>
</div><div>The first 10 levels are just to familiarize you with the game, so I wont bother talking about the basic classes.</div><div>
</div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 255, 0);">Intro</span>: &nbsp;I would first like to say that Aion is a pretty interactive game, this means that even if you're a tanker, you'll still die extremely fast even with all your HP and armor if you're not actively fighting, I'll describe what I mean by this later. &nbsp;In short, this game actually takes skills.</div><div>
</div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 255, 0);">Spiritmaster</span>: &nbsp;The pet class.</div><div>
</div><div>You have access to the basic mage skills. &nbsp;Not much to say except for the fact that you have simple commands over your pets, such as follow, attack my target, and etc...One thing to note about the pets in this class is that you WILL have to buy skills for your pets, they don't just learn it, and you'd have to command your pet to use that skill as well, pets don't just cycle through their skills. &nbsp;This means that you cannot cast a Firebolt while at the same time having your pets use a skill, using pet skills will be like using your own skills. &nbsp;However, your pets will use it's basic attack automatically.</div><div>
</div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 255, 0);">Sorcerer</span>: &nbsp;The ranged dps class.</div><div>
</div><div>Again, you will have to pay attention to what you do at all times or you will die pretty quickly. &nbsp;Sorcerers have access to a bunch of debuffs, such as slows, sleep, stuns, knockbacks etc...You also get this neat skill that lets you teleport a good distance back(so that you can keep a good amount of distance between yourself and your opponent). &nbsp;Unlike other games where mages can just use their dps skills and win most fights, you will have to use a lot of your debuffs to survive.</div><div>
</div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 255, 0);">Templar</span>: &nbsp;The tanker class.</div><div>
</div><div>You get to wear plate armor, the best armor against physical attacks in the game. &nbsp;This class can survive extremely well, if you're actively using all your defensive skills. &nbsp;Unlike most MMoRPGs, standing there and just using dps skills will get you killed. &nbsp;The Templar has access to a shield but it wont do shit unless you use your shield skills. &nbsp;It takes a lot of work being a Tanker in this game, at least so far, since you can't just idly stand there and tank, you'd have to continuously use your stuns, knockbacks, absorb damage and etc...to survive.</div><div>
</div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 255, 0);">Gladiator</span>: &nbsp;The melee DPS, classic "warrior," able to play either DPS or semi-tank role. &nbsp;And by semi-tank I mean you can probably tank 2 mobs and lose half your HP while a Templar will lose...none.</div><div>
</div><div>Deals a lot of damage and still able to wear the best armor (plate armor) in the game. &nbsp;The damage you deal is on par with Assassins, at least in a head-on battle. &nbsp;This class feels really epic just because you get to wield a huge weapon and the animation actually looks like you're wielding a huge weapon; the physics in this game is extremely nice. &nbsp;The only downside to this is that your attack speed is slow.</div><div>
</div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 255, 0);">Assassin</span>: &nbsp;The other melee DPS.</div><div>
</div><div>Assassins can easily out DPS Gladiator just because they have a lot of defense debuffs and "surprise" attacks. &nbsp;Several skills are meant for attacking an opponent from behind, in which you deal a shit-ton-load of damage. &nbsp;Again, you can kill an opponent extremely quick, even before they can attack you, however you can't always do this (due to cooldown), so to be efficient, you'd have to use all of your skills. &nbsp;You're not a one-trick pony like other rogue classes in other MMoRPGS. &nbsp;You also get a hide ability, which is useful in getting you behind an opponent to use your most devastating attacks.</div><div>
</div><div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 255, 0); ">Strategy:</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;Actually important in this game. &nbsp;For example, as a lvl 8 mage, you should have access to these spells: 2s cast direct dps -> instant cast direct dps, instant DoT, 2s cast direct dps + slow -> instant cast direct dps + knockback, and an instant root/immobilize spell. &nbsp;The arrow means that the follow spell is within a chain, which means that you cannot use it until you use the previous spell first (NOTE: you have to use the follow spell in the chain right away since it will be canceled if you use a spell from a different chain).</div><div>
</div><div>Now, for the strategy part. &nbsp;One of the correct way is to start with the "2s cast direct dps + slow -> instant cast direct dps + knockback" chain, then follow it up with the "instant DoT", then the "2s cast direct dps -> instant cast direct dps" chain, if the enemy is still alive, use "instant cast root/immobilize" and back up and either finish it off with another "2s cast direct dps" spell or start the chain over again.</div><div>
</div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 255, 0); ">In terms you can understand:</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;Cast the slow spell first so you can cast the knockback spell within the chain. &nbsp;Then while the enemy is still down, cast the DoT spell so that the damage starts ticking off right away and last for the full duration (I've seen people casting DoT last, and it probably ticked once before the enemy dies, which is useless). &nbsp;Then while the enemy is coming toward you, still slow and with your DoT ticking off, use your 2s cast direct damage spell and then the instant cast one right afterward in a chain. &nbsp;If the sob isn't dead, cast the instant root spell and move back and start the chain again or something.</div><div>
</div><div>Of course, this is all pretty common sense but there are people out there who WILL cast the 2s cast direct damage spell first...and then the slow spell when the mob gets within melee range =|. &nbsp;There are some pretty cool strategies for other classes too, but it would take about a page or so to explain it all...but knowing myself, I probably will do it some other time for +post!</div></div><div>
</div><div><span style="color: rgb(255, 215, 0);">Just to sum things up, you will be able to tell noobs and pros apart pretty easily in this game.</span></div>
