Hey Peeps!

I was browsing the reddits and came across a website that is giving away keys to try Archage for free from July 17 - 21.

For those of you that don't know about this game it is a sandbox MMO that has everything from farming to being a cat pirate person! So grab a key and hop on to try out what I think is a really fun game!

I actually pushed for this game a few months back when it was still in beta over at the Russian servers.(Dug through the internet until I found a reliable English patch and other shit required to play the Russian version.)

From what I've seen so far from playing the game, I can conclude that most of it is going to be rather grinding, much like a traditional Korean MMORPG. Crafting seems to be the way to acquire best in slot gear but after a certain point, the stats become 100% RNG, so you if you fail and acquire the wrong stats you have to start from scratch again, meaning you have go through thousands of materials and labor points.(Gain 1 point every 5 minutes with a cap of 1,000/5 points every 5 minutes with a cap of 5,000 if you're subscribed. This may change in the NA servers though but still...) Also the combat itself may feel like a downgrade after playing action-based combat games such as Wildstar or GW2 since it does a tab-target style.

Though I personally think that what shines in this game is the open world PvP, especially with a guild. But seeing as how Tryden barely helped in pushing the guild in Wildstar, I don't think this guild has a chance to succeed in ArcheAge.

No offense, but you come off as a really shitty person on these forums. I don't know you, but I'm not really going to sit around while you shit talk one of my friends and my guild. Tryden is one of the best people persons and recruiters I know, and I've been in a lot of different guilds. If the WildStar guild is not booming maybe you should blame yourself. I sure as fuck wouldn't want to be playing with you.

I mostly agree with all of these points especially the combat, but the grindyness of the game I feel can be argued. You don't have to do quests to level. You can do trade routes or farm to gain exp as well and there are quests from the Blue Salt Brotherhood to gain even more exp to do that. I feel in that way it changes up the feel of the game especially because the quests can get kinda grindy.

Either way, with Tryden pushing or not it would be cool to see some of the vindictive family in ArcheAge either during the beta or on release of the game.

Metal, I'm just going to pretend this was some attempt at a bad joke and chalk it up to a language barrier. But just in case. Nine years and half a dozen games where we were the top guild on the server is my resume. What is yours?

This guild will succeed in whatever game I want it to.

Neither do I know you but I am sorry that you think of me that way. I'm just genuinely disappointed with all the empty promises said person has given and also due to the fact that he simply didn't allow the little amount of people that we currently had to level and experience further into the game by pushing them back to GW2(I guess I can't really say much here since he's the who decides what we play anyway.) And now that the first month is over, I doubt any of them would want to play again unless it goes F2P.

I will talk to you on Teamspeak tonight.

Otherwise, we're done here. Thread locked. (Sorry, Paradrox.)
