Arena Tournament: LAST VILLAIN STANDING

Hello Everyone,

On Thursday, June 21st, and Friday June 22nd, at 8:30 EST/ 5:30 PST, I'll be hosting an Arena Tournament I'm calling Last Villain Standing. The only stipulations for anyone willing to join are:

1: You must play as a villain.
2: You must be a member of Vindictive, though the character you bring doesn't have to be.
3: For the Ladder Tournament, you must be level 47-50.

The first half of the Tournament will begin on Thursday June 21st, at 8:30pm EST. Please come to Pocket D a little earlier so we can kick it right off. We'll begin with a Battle Royale, all levels welcome. There will be no prizes for this event, but it will give you an idea of the PvP styles of the other participants, which should give you an advantage for Team and Ladder matches.

The next and last event for Thursday night, Team matches, will consist of numerous teams of two (pre-made, so talk to someone you'd be interested in doing this with), who will square off against each other in a ladder style match. There will be prizes for this.

First Place: 10 million infamy to each member.

Second Place: Choice between the following recipes: Mako's Bite, Devestation, Luck of the Gambler, Crushing Impact or Positron's Blast. Each member gets to chose one.

Third Place: One piece of rare salvage to each team member. Choices are: Diamond, Chronal Skip and Photonic Canon.

On Friday, June 22nd, the second half of the Arena Tournament will take place at 8:30pm EST. This will be the PvP, one versus one, Ladder Tournament. YOU MUST SIGN UP ONLY ONE VILLAIN CHARACTER IN THE CALENDER SECTION. Once you do, you will be randomly assigned to an opponent for the first level of the ladder tournament. It will be a best 2 out of 3 duel. The winner advances to the next round. This is the main event for the Arena Tournament, as over 100 million infamy worth of prizes will be available.

First Place: Full set of Numina's Convalescence crafted enhancements, worth over 60 million infamy.

Second place: One piece of rare Salvage. Choices are worth between 5-6 million infamy each: Hamidon Goo, Pangean Soil, Prophecy.

Third Place: Your choice of the following recipes: Devestation, Mako's Bite, Crushing Impact, Positron's Blast and Luck of the Gambler.

So please sign up yourself for the ladder matches on Friday, and post who your team will be for Thursday's team match in this thread. If you can't find anyone, come out anyway, and you'll be paired up with someone else who doesn't have a team member. Don't be daunted, a lot of those participating are not hardcore PvPers. This is meant to be a fun evening. If you lose, you lose. It's not the end of the world. And the oppurtunity to win so many prizes is worth it alone to come out.

Well, since there weren't enough people signed up, I'm going to change the arena tournament to Thursday June 21 and Friday June 22nd, right after double xp week. I think this was too short notice and most people couldn't make time.

Sorry to those who did sign up. The prizes will still be the same for the new arena dates.

now i would've loved to come in and went Drifter on everybodies ass but..i have two key problems..

A. Drifter is only lvl31
B. i have no villains over lvl31

Genma's right. For the battle royale and team tournament, you can be any level.

Only the ladder tournament on Friday requires you to be between level 47 to 50.

All Right, i suppose i should post in this thing every now and again. No, i do not have a partner yet, I'm in the process of it. If you are interested let me know and we'll work something out. I did ask one person and still waiting for a response, and yes its probably your worst nightmare. Anyway, we'll see how things go. Enjoy yourselves in this tournament. Even if you don't win first place, use it as a way to find your strengths and weaknesses in your toon and fix them. I have my fair share that I'm fixing up and believe it or not tryden has his with nightmare syndrome. Fight as much as you can before the tournament in RV, WB, SC, and arena matches so you can do your best.

Also, it has been made official now. I have talked to my partner and we have agreed to roll together. I'm sure many of you can guess who I chose. Jimmy, but of course

I'll let your imagination come up with which toon's we'll be using. Also tryden, dont screw me over and post the fight early on thursday. Schedule it sometime later around 10:30 eastern. If that is too late for the rest of you, post the fight for friday evening and saturday evening.

  All this time I've pondering on how to defeat Tryden, and now a bigger challenge arises - Faded/J4 combo  THAT SUX BEYOND BELIEVE.    For this we NEED inspirations !!!!  Both of them are lethal..   Warning, if I get AS'd  by the 2 of them I'm throwing a tantrum.

Just to clarify, no inspirations are allowed to be used in the Team Tournament and Ladder match. This will be strictly enforced, and you'll be disqualified if you use them. Accolades are fine however and count as your normal powers, as do Tier 9 powers.

The battle royale has no restrictions on inspirations or temp powers, since it's just for fun and bragging rights.

if you and sixth have tactics you can see them thru hide and stealth when they both stack and they are close by.

It would work Cherr except IO's now offer another layer of stealth. So now you have to worry about 3 layers of stealth and not just two. Otherwise yeah, that would work.
