So after reading posts about people thinking Male HoX attacks faster then Female HoX I decided to do some thorough testing. I did each test 3 times for better accuracy on timers.

All testing done with the same 2h Edged weapon.


20 Swings of UPPER LEFT

Test 1

Male: 20 seconds to complete 20 swings.
Female: 20 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Test 2

Male: 21 seconds to complete 20 swings.
Female: 20 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Test 3

Male: 20 seconds to complete 20 swings.
Female: 20 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Conclusion on UPPER LEFT : Same swing speed



20 Swings of TOP ATTACK

Test 1

Male: 19 seconds to complete 20 swings.
Female: 29 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Test 2

Male: 19 seconds to complete 20 swings.
Female: 30 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Test 3

Male: 20 seconds to complete 20 swings.
Female: 30 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Conclusion on TOP ATTACK: There is a large (35%) Swing speed difference on male and female top attack.

Male: 23 seconds to complete 20 swings.
Female: 30 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Test 2

Male: 22 seconds to complete 20 swings.
Female: 30 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Test 3

Male: 22 seconds to complete 20 swings.
Female: 31 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Conclusion on UPPER RIGHT : There is a large (26%) Swing speed difference on male and female upper right attack.

Male: 22 seconds to complete 20 swings.

Conclusion on LOWER LEFT : There is a moderate (15%) Swing speed difference on male and female lower left attack.

I will go into other combo's later but I am sure they are effected by gender swing speeds as well.

What is the balancing factor then? If they're trying to emulate the stereotype that women are physically weaker than men, then how are they going about making a female character just as advantageous to play as a male? Higher chance to evade, take less damage, etc...?

Maybe they get more skill points or earn XP faster or other non-combat bonuses, cause women are smarter than men right?
