Did I spell it right?
Well, I know that you majored in textiles - I hope you don't mind if I shoot related questions your way every now and then.
Today's question is: "Would you happen to know anything about embroidery?"
I am attempting to teach myself basic stitches (took a break for sanity and to ask if advice might possibly-if-I-ask-nicely be forthcoming) and am having difficulty getting started. I half remember something about an older sister taking home ec. in highschool and sewing on paper and made the leap that she was probably practicing stitches of some sort... so I am currently attempting "stem stitches" on printer paper with a few pencil marks to follow with the biggest needle I can find and some type of thread/yarn that my boyfriend brought home from work one day that I can only assume is some sort of large-ish tatting thread (tatting being another of my failed crafting attempts.)
I'll stop here to see if this does indeed fall in your area of expertise before I ramble on with questions.
Thank you, and I hope I'm not bugging you!~
