Base raid vs. SoE on May 20, 2006

Thank you to all who made the raid against SoE this past Saturday. We had some members using Vent and others not, but there was no communication even with the people that had vent on. It was very quite in cyber space. Stone is right, we need to communicate and we need to have more people particiapte in these raids. We need to function as a team! Otherwise, what's the purpose? It's frustrating for the few who do show up.

I'm not sure about some of you, but I was missing ALOT vs. SoE. I don't know what they were using but it was annoying not being able to hit these people. Also, it appeared that one of their members had repulsor bubbles on and that was throwing me off. Many times I was gang banged, and not in a fun way, once again because there were few of us in the raid. All in all, we did well be splitting the victories with SoE. It says alot about what we can accomplish if we work together and only if we work together.

We should try to set up a time where a few of us can be online at the same time to contribute our ideas to Stone or whoever as to the changes in the base. Two heads are better than one so to speak.

Trees are good at covering DA's because they break-up the line of site pretty well. We can use certain terrain as decoys. I know it cost prestige, but how about making corridors that go end up going nowhere?

I also forget to target their reclamators to make them rez outside of their base. We should keep that in mind because that buys us time as we have to deal with less of them for more time.

anyway do you have your attacks slotted with 2 acc SOs?
 
what kinda of debuffs were you being hit with?
Anyway as i said before we need to hold off on base raids till we can get a strategy laid out and we got nuff peeps participating. Crazy carrie has Rep Field IIRC and we have couple FF who can pick it up with free respec, i  dicussed this a potential strategy before  but no one seemed intrested at the time. If you think this is annoying SG raids in CoH pretty much ends up being all about repels (since 3 ATs can pick up Repulsion field not to mention there is alot of mind troller with TK).
 
Dak, I agree that things will be difficult when we start raiding hero SGs.  However, I don't think we should stop raiding.  We need the practice.  Look at it this way.  The 8 who were there this past Sat show up this Sat.  Now we have vets.  Also, we need more folks to come to the forums to read the news and events calandar.  This will go a long way towards participation.  I agree we need tactics, but what if something happens and we have to man the base with very few people?  We should be able to handle it.  I think the vets that came last time need to keep coming so we have folks who know how to react to situations that come up.  Also, if we continue to raid, we will get better and better at our communication and our knowledge of each other's thoughts.  I know that I've worked with Stomp enough to almost be able to tell how he's going to react.  But thats in Warburg.  He may have a different approach with raids.  If we keep raiding, with the same folks, we will have a solid team for raids.  I know that I'd love to have the same folks there for this Saturday's raid.  I'd team with any of em.  And as we refine our tactics and learn to trust each other, we'll be nearly unstoppable. 

The other side to this coin is that we need to have the participants using Vent.  That means that the folks that don't have a mic need to go out and get one.  I know I know.  Money isn't that great for some.  I know this better than I care to admit.  But mic's aren't that expensive.  You can get one for $10.00 at Wal-Mart.  With this said, if we communicate via Ventrillo and work together, we will do fine.
 
I totally agree with that Stone. The more we raid/game together, the better we are going to be as a team. Vent is such a huge bonus to have in raids.

No way we should stop raiding! It'll be more fun the better we get. I think that almost all of the people that were there this past Sat. were people who've done raids before, so that's good.

I liked the changes you've made more recently in the base. I look forward to raiding with you all. See you this Saturday and remember HAVE FUN!
