I started playing this the last few days of CBT, it went OBT last 06/20/14. I'm not gonna lie, it still has lots of bugs lol, but it has some important elements for some really fun game play. #1 It has open world pvp after lvl 15, there is no safe pve servers. #2, it currently has 2 servers running and both are busy, reaching max so the playerbase is good so far. #3 it is F2P with no item mall, they use a new system where players will choose to buy time vials of sand which contain bonus loot from dungeons and mob killing (you get 2 free ones per day anyway), #4 they have faction versus faction large scale pvp called battlefield where two sides fight to own the map and get rewards. #5 they have guild versus guild wars #6, they have ranked pvp ladders

fuck the numbers lol...they also have max level 40 currently, its not so hard to get max gear since the game gives you rewards for leveling anyway, you can run dungeons for gear or buy off the auction hall. There is crafting in game also...the items are hard to get for now since the game is new though. You get battlemounts for fighting, you can even use them in pve if you want for quests. There are 6 races and 8 classes to choose from (not all are open for OBT though, I think 4 races but all 8 classes are available)

I just quit the top guild on the server I was playing because they pissed me off LOL...they pulled the elitist tactic I fucking hate from guilds...they told everyone in the guild they were kicking all under max level 40 and without max gear by next Sunday. I only had 5 more levels anyway, but that wasn't the point. I don't take well to elitist demands and they haven't done shit to help me, they were forming "clicks" of certain teams. They also didn't seem to consider even when I told them that some people were not too concerned with max level and were actually doing the side quests which award points for the guild (for keeping up with guild maintenance and raising guild tech levels) that don't give xp for character. That didn't seem to matter lol....so..................

This is my pitch for Vindictive to join BGO and let's show them the fun we can have while kicking ass!!! We can do this! I have my healer on Lokemea server (second server opened after first went full) with the faction Erlandir (fantasy nature). The other server was the first and went full within a couple days, called Ellescadia. Or we can do the other faction (steampunk) called Isenhorst. I'll start anew with the guild if you guys decide to join and play. <3 I'll try to answer any questions if I can about races and classes, but the game is new and I haven't played all of them...just what I notice others playing and saying in game. Oh and as far as I know, there is no guild with our name yet....so if you want me to make it or someone else who decides to play, let's do it before it gets taken!!!
 
yay!! <3 tell me what faction and server you want to start on ;) I'll join ya! If you like fantasy type I have a level 35 geomancer/healer (max is currently 40) on Erlandir faction on Lokemea server. But whatever you choose I'm down to start up, leveling isn't that hard at all right now. The steampunk characters are Isenhorst faction (currently races for steampunk are Buvont (human) and Lokemean (dwarfs) with Umpyrian (vampires) to be added later. On Erlandir the fantasy side they have Kosh (remind me of Avatar characters) and Yuton (also look human) with the later to be added race Aurek (shapeshifters). Both factions get access to the same classes. Races have different race bonuses.
 
oh and important tip...make sure when you create your character you have it just the way you want because once you use a name, its forever. They stated they will not renew names...so if you delete it, its gone for good. They said its one of their deterrents for account hacking. I lost my main name Emry this way :D

also note the Battlefield, large scale pvp faction vs. faction includes land and air mounts...each mount has a weakness and strength compared to other mounts

There are a lot of events and dungeons to do, random events spawn worldwide which rewards money, items or valor points, valor points can be exchanged for end game gear and stuff. Honor points are pvp kill points and go towards rankings and titles.
 
I made a char on both servers for each faction now just in case we make the guild in the game LOL...tell me what server and faction you guys want to play. Dwarfs, Humans and Vampires = steampunk or Kosh, Humans and Shapeshifters = Fantasy? The best server for the guild would probably be Lokemea, because it is the second server, released 3 days after launch when first server Ellescadia became full...probably the BRs lmfao

Well the game is F2P, free to play, but there is no item mall LOL...I know it sounds weird but it works out pretty cool so far. They decided instead to try something new. As you level and kill stuff, you accumulate what they call Sands of Time Vials. Inside those vials is bonus loot. You have the option to buy vouchers from the game in order to buy other peoples time vials they put up on auction. that is how they will make money, or by people choosing to pay for VIP status which gives a title and extra xp gain...

thing is, you get 2 free time vials per day anyway...so you get some loot. You can choose to open the vials and get the loot, sell them on the auction hall or refine them into gems and stuff. Some people at first bitched about the thought of not getting the loot they worked for, but this isn't the same thing. This is BONUS loot and you get two free vials per day like I said and each vial has two nice items of gear usually. You don't get to choose what type of gear though. What's I like about this whole idea is that you can't pay to win, not really...not everyone will go around with the same gear and everyone has a decent chance of getting good gear. You still have the chance to get good gear in dungeons with groups via chanced rolls...the need or greed system (which is good with guilds and people you know, not so much PUGS) and reward chests from adventures, events and pvp, battlefield, etc...The game also rewards you for leveling. It gave me rare weapon item card vouchers for each 10 levels so far lol so I've never had to worry about having a great weapon. It gives you double xp potions which I'm not even using...leveling is fast anyway if you just follow the main Plot quests. Some people level to 40 within a couple days. There is a LOT to do even after you hit 40, a lot of pvp, events, adventures, dungeons, group vs group PVP, arena, and guild vs guild wars...the more I play this game the more I love it lol. It has some bugs in it for sure, it just went OBT...the main bug I've come across is at level 10, there is the main quest line called Scout (Plot)...make SURE you summon your battlebeast before you enter the portal!!! For some reason, people have gotten bugged and can't finish the quest which is the main one and you have to restart a new char. It's a big bug, I'm not sure they fixed it by now, hope they did...haven't heard complaints anymore lol but you never know.

You have nothing to lose by playing...it's free and gear is easy to come by as well as levels. :mrgreen:

oh and they will make money from selling the Conqueror's edition here for $19.99 http://bg.snailgame.com/static/conquerors/ which gives a costume, some black gold, some crafting items I think they are...nothing too extreme or OP. The black gold is nice though, it helps when you want to buy stuff off the auction hall.

There won't be a wipe after OBT so you keep what you make now. Guilds can be made by any char at lvl 15. Be careful with other guilds though, the guildmaster gets all the rewards from guild wars and instance wells which he or she can then divide up to the guild...or they can choose to be greedy bastards and keep it all for themselves...which is why I'm trying to get you guys in here too LOL...don't trust these fuckers xD and already there is mixed emotions about that. IN the forums the devs said they wanted to leave as much free will for the players as possible, like real world you have to be careful who you trust and it is a pvp world so its a bit cut throat that way so I doubt they will be changing that soon and I imagine some guilds and leaders doing such things will find themselves empty and with bad reps. I want people I can trust and I know in a guild :D So even if any of you decide to play and we don't form a guild keep that in mind...
 
yes! steampunk! your first ride is a motorcycle :D the first mount for fantasy is a beast which looks like a Rhinoceros crossed with a Triceratops :D

I like both worlds, they both are cool to me. The fantasy side has more long hair to choose from for chars though but all are nice. The char creation is very in depth and customized...it is like Aion or Tera with some of the exact hairstyles lol...I think they are presets sold to many game devs or that would be copyright infringement, so probably presets or art sold on consignment or a paid fee for the game to use. They are very nice chars though, good creation with sliders for everything...and yes, even Spine would love the Boob and chest size slider *roll eyes* lol

the dwarf females are Loli's (sold everyone in guild on this one probably)

hmmm ok well I was reserving the guild name for both servers so no one else can take it

on Lokemea it is reserved under Erlandir, not Isenhorst (dwarfs)

I wanted to give us a choice of faction and servers so reserved the name under both. If you guys want Isenhorst, steampunk side, that is reserved on Ellescadia server :) So we have Vindictive on both servers

Ellescadia = Isenhorst (steampunk) Hit "G" and find Vindictive, character holding guild leader is Dayla

Lokemea = Erlandir (fantasy) Hit "G" and find Vindictive, character holding guild leader is Emra

both servers are very active and busy so lots of fun in either one...I'm calling out Tryden at this point in time lol...he PM'd me saying he would probably download the game tonight, I told him we need a good guild leader here...I'm not guild leader material, just not lol...I'm a bit selfish in that I suppose because I like to enjoy the game with no responsibilities xD I'll also be going back to nursing school full time August 18th so I can't commit to guild leader. But anyone else is welcome to step up :)

You guys can play both servers both sides or choose one you prefer. Just remember the two missing races to come soon...Vampires on Isenhorst and Shapeshifters on Erlandir.

You can apply to the guild by accessing the "G" guild panel for all guilds and if you have a name other than forum here please tell me who you are when I accept you LOL!

*bonus tip for leveling...go into settings and click autopath, it will take you to your quest destinations, click the underlined green location in the quest description also :) The (Plot) quests are main story, the sub plots are for some money, xp and guild points needed to upgrade and maintain guild. If we upgrade the technology of the guild we get bonuses and can buy special rare items from the guild store.
 
I'm fairly intrigued by the shapeshifter class coming out, but I'm pretty open to either faction.

Btw, I rolled a geomancer on Lokemea, as well! Then, I promptly died in the tutorial. I'm such a bad. :p

Did you know you can manually adjust bust size in character creation?
 
Played it for about half an hour. Couldn't get into it. Ended up uninstalling it. Might revisit later. Left click pew pew? Odd.
 
You can actually choose between three modes

Traditional, tab target with left click attack

Black Gold, which is some hybrid they did that I don't get lol, it's right click attack which is just weird for me

Crosshair targeting, popular for those that want their mouse free with auto panning camera, I am using this for melee types.

Cyendia: When you look in guild list under them is the search feature, type in "Vindictive" and it should come up right away

leader on Ellescadia for dwarfs is Dayla

leader on Lokemea for fantasy is Emra

I just got off work so I'm logging in and I'll check to make sure something isn't wrong lol.

Maybe you guys can make a character for each side on both, you only need to level up to level 10 to join the guild. Then we can post a poll or take a vote on which server we want to focus on :) Getting to level 10 and a feel for the environment, the races, etc...literally takes maybe one hour at most if that LOL. I have so many characters on both servers, both factions hhahaha, I like the creation too much :oops:

The game appeals to us womenz maybe because the character creation is awesome, they have pets just to have pets, some classes summon but OMFG unlike GW2 you can UNSUMMON them lol...they can even lure, I tried it...they haz fashion with sparklies even, fantasy land is gawgus and steampunk land is smexy, we can ride battle mounts and kill stuff and be all RAWR!!! They have crafting which is important to womenz, lots of variety of things to do so we don't get bored doing the same shit over and over, dance emotes are so OP, pvp for pms days is mandatory and its just a pretty fun game to play while waiting for something better, oh and no jumping puzzles (yet...that I'm aware of)

oh...and for men...hmmm, boob slider!!! lol but they have big swords for those that might need to compensate, many of the female outfits are skimpy...it's an Asian mmo, they think a thong is a sweater. PVP and lots of it, at least for now, game is new and there are many willing victims lol. And probably because womenz want to play this game and try it :D
