They just opened up pre-orders for ESO and revealed details of pre-order bonuses. Info below:

We're going to be doing a giveaway for two copies of the standard edition on the forums (props to Aemon for helping to fund that). More details coming in the next week. Trying to come up ideas for a good contest that will allow everyone to enter. (Some suggestions were an MS Paint drawing competition or best joke thread). If you guys have ideas, I'm open to suggestions. :X

OMG! Can't wait to get married and run around with my mudcrab! Seriously tho, is the imperial an actual race or a trait line? I'm kind of a TESO newb.
 
THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THAT WHOLE POST IS THAT YOU CAN BE ANY RACE IN ANY FACTION AS LONG AS YOU PREORDER(any edition basic or imperial)

They're a race, and a surprise one. Bethesda said before they weren't going to be in the game as a playable race. Now they are for anyone that pre-orders the Imperial Edition.

VINDICTIVE IS ALSO DROPPING A SURPRISE.

There will now be four Imperial Editions given away in the contest, instead of two regular editions. More deets to come. :3

FF14 was never an official Vindictive expansion guild, and I never planned it to be. I personally lead official expansion guilds (See CoH, Warhammer Online, Aion. Then look at games that I didn't lead in: Champions, Age of Conan, Tera, DCUO.)

Whether it's a passing thing or not depends on how good it is. All the olds who played GW2 pretty much quit in September 2012 but I believed in the game so I kept recruiting until now. If I believe in a game, I will recruit for it and keep it active (our GW2 guild is going on 1.5 years and we're one of only a handful of Darkhaven launch guilds that's still active. We have 15-20 players on a night). I didn't recruit for FF14 because I never saw Vindictive having a serious presence in it. It was like Tera or DCUO, a fun side attraction, but I always said the FF14 guild would be dead in three weeks (and it was).

Now, back on topic. Please post suggestions about what would make a good contest.

Real Life photo competition (wherein you take a picture of something cool (Not your abs, Spine))

Maybe there should be two (+?) contests since there are so many prizes. Perhaps that would give people more choices to play to their strengths

gaming-related contests ideas:

1) tetris tournament, best of 3, random seeded brackets :p

2) Texas-holdem tournament, everybody starts with set number of "entries" into raffle for prize. Wager entries in poker, can cash out whenever


hrm... actually maybe it should just be a raffle period? kind of like what tryden did for winter giveaway. But have different contests award extra entries. That way even casuals still have a chance of winning

I just bought five copies of the Imperial Edition (one for me, four for the giveaway). Had to fucking buy each one individually because the code couldn't be applied in bulk.

i think some one mentioned it already but having an in game competition would be sweet. Can be any game though, i guess a simple free to play game that everyone can have fun in and the winner of the match gets either a copy or an additional entry in the raffle. i cant believe im saying this but...........left4dead may be an option.............but im sure there are tons of other games of similary hilarity and what not that you can make a cool contest out off. gotta check out steam free to play games to figure it out.
