Favorite Album in high school?

What was your favorite album in high school that you owned, and came out while you where in high school? I know many of us over lap by a few or even all years, but still curious to see what people say...

Mine is easy, Darkest Days by Stabbing Westward hands down. I never had a job in high school, so I totally had to beg to get this album. My parents where worried it would make me depressed or something... :p

Gravity Kills, self titled, i believe.

If you dont know who they are, find out.

btw, their second cd sucked ass.

Not my style man.

Although my favorite in HS would have to have been Stratovarius - Infinite.

Hmmm, tough call. Either Britney Spears' debut CD or N'Snyc's final album. They're just lyrically so complex and stylistically original. I can say with confidence they molded me into the outstanding gentleman I am today

You didnt like Perversion? I did. Ah well.

To much good music came out in my High School years. From NIN, Gravity Kills, Korn, Limp Zizkit, Static X, Slipknot, Godsmack.. way to many bands got big during my time frame.

Sigh.. I listened to far to much during that time to ever pick. Though Meat Beat Manifesto might have been up there for awhile. But I spent most of High School listening to older stuff. Machines of Loving Grace, Skinny Puppy, Ohgr, Ministry, KMFDM, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, God Lives Underwater.. etc. Spent a lot of time up in Chicago going to Industrial Concerts.

Load & Reload - Metallica

Listened to them before every basketball game.

SuperUltraMegaGundamEpicFailure.

There is no Metallica after the Black album, half of which was lame (wolf and man, anyone? my friend misery? suckage. and not in a skanky korean whore type way, which is good). Except for some of the songs on Garage, INC. But technically those arent metallica songs, they're covers, so they dont count anyway.

As an aside, the Crow soundtrack was perhaps one of the greatest collections ever.

And? We = WIN!!! Metallica and Testament both put out albums last year, and Formation of Damnation blows Death Magnetic out of the water... If you consider yourself a thrash metal fan and you don't own Formation of Damnation, I'm gonna slap you... (anyone, not just Tryden...)

Shut your face, i grew up listening to those two albums when me and my older brother used to go race motocross. Everytime i hear those songs it takes me back to a simpler time......

of course it takes you back to a simpler time . . . cause at that time, metallica Simply sucked ass.

lmao. I wouldn't say they sucked ass till St. Anger... Black Album till then, they just stopped being metal...

I will get in on this Metallica thing in a sec. However in Highschool I was listening to two Bands one called Type O Negative and the other was Tool before they hit it big.

Glad to see someone knows about Gravity Kills other than myself Guilty was a good song, after that CD they swallowed balls.

Now on to this Metallica debate, Metallica really started to swallow somewhere around the black alblum. Remember those of who were listening to them and old enoughto listen to them When Cliff was playing for them knew a completely diffrent band from what was coming even on And Justice For All... Self titled ablukm sucked balls, it did not really start getting better till St. Anger you could tell from that alblum they were looking for a way back home they missed y a few streets but Deth Magnetic kick the door in and says get off my couch bitch and get me a beer.

So Type O Negatvie and Tool

I can't stand anything before Black Album, I dont like that type of music. Most hardcore I go is Killswitch Engage or All That Remains, I hate thrash.
