Guild Memo " Respect to All Players"

Hey guys hope today finds you well, not to much to since servers are down today so it seemed as good of time as any to post this.

I would like to start this thread off by saying that everyone who was witness to the exchange between myself and snaggletooff the other day I apologize that I did not take it to priv. chat sooner and that you had to witness that exchange I understand as an officer/player in the guild we all come here to play and have fun.

However general disrespect will not be tolerated at any level in this guild it does not matter if the person disrespected is a new person to the guild or a guild officer disrespect will no longer be tolerated there will be action take on the offense, the first step is an officer will pull u both into vent and try to resolve the dilema. If there are further problems at the appropiate time whom ever the offender is will likely be demoted or dismissed if the offense is sever enough to warrant the action.

However on the other hand I am in no means say take anyones bullshit either stick up for yourself, take a screenshot of the incident and send it to one of the guild officers if you must.

And while I am on  the subject officers are officers for a reason it is not because we are the most popular we are here to make sure the guild runs smoothly as possible when Tryden is not on and we have shown the ability ot handle a leadership position so while you may not like all of a general modicum of respect will be shown to these people at all times.  If you have a problem with a officer bring it to another officers or Trydens attention and the matter will resolved as swiflty as possible.

I really like this post.

Totally agree with you Aribella. Understandably sometimes shit happens, but I think we really need to drive home that respect is an incredibly important thing. Sure sometimes someone runs their mouth in region chat about someone in the guild or maybe the guild itself. But to respond with a vehement attack on the person is just stooping to their level. Usually if you don't reply they keep running their mouths and make themselves look stupid. If you reply with a reasonable answer to their concerns then you show yourself to be the better person.

Also, I've said this before. Boasting about Vindictive in region chat or shit talking unprovoked isn't cool in my opinion. I like a show rather than tell attitude. We show we're badass by taking keeps, not smack talking in region chat.

Just my two cents to add to Aribella's original post

Yeah, lets also stop talking crap on Regional chats as well... I've seen it from various members, and even done it myself at least once. It doesn't make us look good as a guild. We do have a history of doing this as a guild going back to our time in City of Heroes/Villains, me being as bad as anyone, but not all traditions are a good ones to keep around. :p Lets try to keep it to letting people know that they do not own the server and that maybe they need to chill out a bit in a nice way.

I know it's hard to do, some conversations do make me want to scream "...making my head hurt...", "...i'm dumber for reading this conversation...", or  "...not enough advil in the world...". Lets let our actions speak for themselves, and try to be a good example of a guild family.

Well stated Aribella.  I tend to not even use /1 Chat at all.  I mean, besides, the only people i really care to talk to are my guildies anyways.  Shit talk (in jest) is fun in GChat, not /1

I also vote to carry this motion. Are you sure about the officer comment? Here I thought I was the most popular member in the guild.

Sounds good to me.  I didn't really realize this was a problem, but I'm glad to see I'm in a guild that handles it in this way.  I'm always a proponent of "ignore the trash-talkers and they'll go away."  The bottom line is that we all play to have fun... sadly they internet gives normal/nice people the anonymity to say whatever they want and become complete A-holes.  It's best not to give them a forum by responding to their remarks.<div>
