It had about a 4 year run with SOE, almost five with a 6 month headstart for pre-orders lol.

soo you where a EQ junkie too at 1 point then huu? Speaking of EQ even tho it was 1 of the first. Isn't it dead yet ? or has any one looked?

Currently not playing anything, kinda gave up on TSW since the new girlfriend moved in with me, only thing we've been playing the past month is Doctor.  I'll probably pick up the next MMO you guys play when you're all tired of GW2, which should give us some "settle in" time.  Because fuck GW2 on general principles, that's why.

when my bro was rolling Dream cast. But do prey tale. What was that MMO that hooked old Ivy

Seriously though, I don't really remember my first MMO. This doesn't count as an MMO, but Diablo2 MAY have been the game that started my online gaming trend. I played for about half a year till I finily got a PC  and tried it on there for 3 days and got tired of fighting with it on my low grade PC and found out WoW was funner. But Between tera and EQ I think they had better character development.Id rather be the walking talk reptile guy then chubby fuzz ball.

Oh geez, I'm going to have to go way back for my first...

Ultimate Online in 1997 (I was 14 and it was the most amazing game I had ever played up until that time. Still have warm and fuzzy feelings for it)
Dark Age of Camelot (Still the best pvp implementation of any MMO imo)
World of Warcraft (I know people hate it, but I had a blast with vanilla WoW. You have to hand it to the Blizzard devs for making such an accessible MMO)
EVE (Ugh, so much time spent on this one. But for anyone who has been part of a 1000+ ship battle, it's a hell of an experience)
Mortal Online (What can I say, I'm guilty of liking sandbox games. This one was a huge disappointment though)
And, of course ... Guild Wars 2
