Hey everyone,

So a handful of us are going to be checking out a new dungeon crawler called Path of Exile. It's a free-to-play game in the vein of Diablo 3 or Torchlight. Hopefully it sucks less than the former (MOAR LIKE DIABLOW, AMIRITE?)

The maximum party size in the game is 6 players, and right now I have five people who are interested (Lanks, Genma, Kane and our new member, Lyfelyne). If anyone else wants to join us (HINT, WE NEED A SIXTH) to check it out, HOLLER AT YOUR BOY TRYDEN.

I've actually been really tempted to try this game. My friends have been saying the talent/skill system is awesome and it's like the true successor to Diablo 2 (and who doesn't love D2...). Have fun with it
 
i have it instaled and played a bit think i'm lvl 3 or something and yes the skill system is almost like the ffx one where you would invest points to get say +10 mana and so on
i would play with you guys but till tuesday i'm on a diferent time zone form my normal one (meaning i'm working so can't play )
 
Hey Tryden, I don't think I'm gonna try this one out after all.  The camera angle is just like D3, which I quit playing since it screwed with my head and damn near gave me a migrain after 30 minutes.

Ah, no worries man. It's not really that serious, anyway. Just kind of screwing around with it.

I played it for about 20 minutes last night and I found it to be decently fun. It's a pretty straight forward dungeon crawler, but it's really enjoyable with friends. ^_^

Finally downloaded this game tonight. My account name is Headshott. At the class select screen now ... think I might make a ranger. Are they fairly decent?

So I played this game for a couple of hours last night ... and it's pretty god damn addicting. It really has the old school Diablo 2 feel to it. The item system is also pretty neat in that your abilities are based on gems you slot into your armor and equipment.

And then there's the skill tree ... oh God the skill tree. So many different ways to build a character. Someone already mentioned, but it's like the FFX sphere grid ... but somehow even MORE expansive.

I've been dicking around with an offline skill tree builder while at work. Anyone playing this should download it. You're welcome.

He was on vent today AND now he's playing Path of Exile with us. It's like a literal episode of Touched by an Angel!

I played this through closed beta - pretty decent diablo clone. &nbsp;Definitely better than the heaping turd Blizzard produced with diablo 3. &nbsp;


Diablo 3. &nbsp; ugh. &nbsp;almost makes me want to shed a tear. &nbsp;almost.

Anyone still playing this? A friend convinced me to give a try, so I just downloaded it today.&nbsp;

And this might be a little off topic ... but the forum search doesn't work. =/
