Setting up Vent
Ventrilo's a communication program Vindictive uses to talk to each other to coordinate guild events or just get to know fellow members better. It's only mandatory for base raids, which means if you plan to attend them, or to listen in on them, you must download it. You're not required to have a mic, or required to talk, but being able to listen helps with any event as we're usually coordinating over vent. That gives us an edge against other groups that don't do this.
To get vent set up, start by going here and download the client version.
Once you have it set up, run the program. You should get a little window with three bars at the very top, each which says Username, Server and Bindings. Go to Username and enter the character name you're best known by in Vindictive. Next, go to server by clicking on the arrow at the far right. Click New and name the server Vindictive. Then enter the following info into the new window that appears:
Hostname or IP: Delta.MaxFrag.net
Port: 3825
Password: IT'S A SECRET. ASK IN GUILD CHAT/MESSAGE TRYDEN ON THE FORUMS.
Leave the default channel empty. Make sure that everything was entered correctly. Then click OK. Once back in the main window, hit connect. You should now see a list of channels which say Badge Hunting, Mission Channel 1, etc. Enter the channel which everyone else is using by double clicking on it. Now you're set!
