Sins of a Solar Empire FFA tonight

For anyone that likes massive 4X strategy games set in space, we're doing a Sins of a Solar Empire free for all tonight. This is just for shits and giggles, and anyone who wants to join is welcome.

We've done a bunch of matches over the last couple of days, and it's been a lot of fun. Except when that treacherous leech Genma attacks me when I'm trying to save him from annihilation. That guy is the worst.

Here's a gameplay trailer if this game sounds like it's something up your alley.

Sounds good. I think that's when Genma gets home too, and Sigma should be there as well.

Zoned, Gabe, you guys gonna be around? SEVEN-WAY FFA.

Also, if anyone else wants to join, it's only a 2 GB download. Fair warning, however: this game has a really steep learning curve. Also, matches take a long time (for instance, a FFA match would be considered "quick" if it finished in 3-4 hours. The average game lasts a lot longer).

Yeah, I felt bad. We were all like, "this is a practice match! When Genma and Apog get home we'll restart!"

But then Mauser and I started engaging in hostilities. And our inner beasts were unleashed :3
 
I found out if only one person has the Forbidden Worlds DLC, people without it in a match will also have the new features (only for that game, though). So I'm going to pick it up tonight. Check out the new features because it adds new research, new planet types and new planet specialization. 
 
sweet, that means even if we're not playing with you guys, between mauser and I we only need one

Last night's match SUCKED. Genma managed to wipe out my capital planet, and I forgot to designate a new one for 30 minutes — until I realized I was losing credit income. I was able to recover to have the top economy again, but all the investment meant I couldn't put it any money into my fleet. Mauser played his hand well and brought a titan to obliterate me. HEARTBREAKING.

Moar Sins fun times tonight, yes?

Did people here just recently buy Sins at full price? If you did, file a Steam support ticket. Be polite and ask for a refund (mention you want to buy more games). You might get some money back.

I've tried this before but it hasn't worked for me.

Honestly, I say if you enjoy the game, that's all that matters. I bought Skyrim for $60, and the next day it went on sale for $40. But I didn't care because I had a blast playing it all night.

Someone get the 4 pack and carry me!  JK  I should be able to get it early next week.  The sale goes on till the 22nd of July.
