Man, so yesterday, when scouting, I saw you had envoys at Mauser's base around the time Zoned quit the game. Immediately I realized that rather than sibling rivalry, you and Mauser were going to team up.
That meant I needed an alliance to cover me when I attacked Mauser.
Unfortunately, I didn't realize Sigma was seriously boxed in and struggling. So I worked on improving our relations with him (we had a trade pact, but no ceasefire). The problem was because of Mauser's culture spread, Sigma ran out of income and couldn't research diplomacy. Our alliance was doomed from the start (I was +10 Friendly with him when we attacked, he was -4 hostile with me)
When I went to attack Mauser I had the #1 economy in the game and #1 fleet size, but I was weak on capital ships, so the plan was to split Mauser's forces with a second attack from Sigma. Trouble is, due to miscomumunication, Sigma jumped to the same world I did. I think my fleet helped obliterate his due to secondary fire. :3
Anyway, good game. I shall get you next time, Mauser. :3
For those fighting Advent Rebels, here are some lessons:
-DON'T fight battles in Advent culture if you can avoid it.
-Keep frigates away from the Eradica. Go all carrier if you can. It will eat your fleet alive otherwise.
-TARGET all ships other than Eradica first, it will heal by sacrificing its own ships.
-KILL a Progen mothership if you see it specifically first. It will throw up shield restores and will make the fight much longer.
-TARGET Guardians if you see them to get rid of repel, make sure you have anti-bomber and anti-fighter forces.
