Man, so yesterday, when scouting, I saw you had envoys at Mauser's base around the time Zoned quit the game. Immediately I realized that rather than sibling rivalry, you and Mauser were going to team up.

That meant I needed an alliance to cover me when I attacked Mauser.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize Sigma was seriously boxed in and struggling. So I worked on improving our relations with him (we had a trade pact, but no ceasefire). The problem was because of Mauser's culture spread, Sigma ran out of income and couldn't research diplomacy. Our alliance was doomed from the start (I was +10 Friendly with him when we attacked, he was -4 hostile with me)

When I went to attack Mauser I had the #1 economy in the game and #1 fleet size, but I was weak on capital ships, so the plan was to split Mauser's forces with a second attack from Sigma. Trouble is, due to miscomumunication, Sigma jumped to the same world I did. I think my fleet helped obliterate his due to secondary fire. :3

Anyway, good game. I shall get you next time, Mauser. :3

For those fighting Advent Rebels, here are some lessons:

-DON'T fight battles in Advent culture if you can avoid it.
-Keep frigates away from the Eradica. Go all carrier if you can. It will eat your fleet alive otherwise.
-TARGET all ships other than Eradica first, it will heal by sacrificing its own ships.
-KILL a Progen mothership if you see it specifically first. It will throw up shield restores and will make the fight much longer.
-TARGET Guardians if you see them to get rid of repel, make sure you have anti-bomber and anti-fighter forces.

Yeah we had a a nonaggression deal going on that became a full fledged alliance once you two attacked mauser and roughly simultaneously Genma attacked me (coincidence?)
I mean we never sent aid to one another but just knowing we didn't have to fight a two front war was enough I guess haha

And Mauser's culture didn't just screw over Sigma, it screwed me over too haha, nearly stripped away two of my planets of their allegiance and flat out delayed me taking another one for probably half an hour.

I still can't believe I was foolish enough to think that I was neighboring Avis... I had a fleet ready for a long time and didn't push in because I didn't want to knock Avis out early. Even when I ran into one of Genma's planets I just thought he expanded into Avis' territory so I took the planet. Only when he attacked ME did I realize that the slot next to me was taken by Genma, not Avis...

Yeah, I was actually bordering Avis and didn't attack her. I was planning into moving into her area when she left, but I could only keep enough forces on that front to hold off light green. The rest had to be concentrated on the front with Mauser (although, honestly, I should have spread to the other side and let Mauser come at me).

And be rest assured Genma will never ally with me. We've stabbed each other in the back too many times. While our real-life friendship is strong, our Sins hatred is unrivalled. :3

did pirates give anybody trouble? I did a fairly poor job managing resources so I just blew lots of credits on pirates >.<

T_T I was doing so well! All I wanted was to find Tryden

I had 6 cap ships (4 carrier, 1 mothership,1 buffer) and titan all looking for you before I left

(along with the usual support ships)
thanks for the really fun game guys
hope we do it again soon!

p.s. have fun in SA Tryden!

I was doing really poorly so I just opted to turtle (which evidently mauser informed me I did terribly) but yeah, gabe, tryden, sigma, did my computer give you guys *any* issues at all?
=/

I heard tell of you guys ultimately losing to Mauser's AI fleet

face_mischief.gif

Haha. That was actually a bluff of mine where I was trying to convince Sigma and Genma that the AI would win if we didn't unite. In reality I was rolling through Mauser's planets

Sigma and I ended up having a ceasefire, but he stabbed me in the back. Too bad my titan was level 4 and his was 1. TRAITOR

The final battle came down to me and Genma. We each destroyed all our capital ships and titans, but Genma hadn't rebuilt his capital after losing it, so I achieved a military victory

ALL HAIL EMPEROR TRYDEN, GOD OF THE STARS

Then how come in the end you were complaining about how all the capital ships were destroyed and Mauser's ai was left to take over everything? xD

Oh, I was complaining about the capital ships being destroyed. Because that was such a pointless fight. But the last part was a joke, I had already destroyed Mauser (check out my rankings) ^_^

Here's a scene from the final battle between Genma and I (about halfway through, some cap ships are already gone)
