So my video card just took a shit...

Yeah. &nbsp;I think it's completely blown. &nbsp;8800 GTS that worked great for a few years and it slowly died today as Stomp watched as I logged in and out of GA this evening. &nbsp;Now, when I hit power on the computer it whirs up and beeps but there's nothing on the monitor. &nbsp;I really think it's the video since this has only happened when playing GA. &nbsp;We have enough RAM on that machine, the CPU is fine (the thing wouldn't even whir on and beep if it wasn't, right?) and so forth. &nbsp;ARGH. <div>
</div> <div>So, I'm pretty sure we can get something up and running (I'm on Hanna's computer atm) but in the meantime, maybe a week or two, I'm sadly not going to be able to participate in GA.</div> <div>
</div> <div>Any suggestions on what's decent in the Nvidia line-up these days?</div>

Yep, sounds like the vcard kicked the bucket.&nbsp; That should be fine, that vcard can playing anything out there at max settings.

</div> <div>Got the card, popped it in (well, Hanna wanted to give it a try so after she broke the PICe16 clip that helps hold it on the board it got in >_>) and now I am back into the GA!</div> <div>
</div> <div>For this weekend I will be mostly to partly busy with finishing my graduate program application. &nbsp;First I had to apply to get into grad school AT ALL and now I have to apply for the specific program. &nbsp;I'm wondering when I'll have to start taking a test just to pick my own damn chair in class >_> &nbsp;but anyway. &nbsp;Also, on top of the app this weekend I have my first test on Monday and so a lot of time is going to be aimed at that.</div> <div>
