A big thank-you for all the feedback y'all have been giving here. I'm lurking on the forums every day, and I know other members of the team are, too (hi, Robobo!). If you've posted in the Hero Games forum, odds are that I personally have read your post. Seriously!

I see that a lot of people are enjoying PvP, which is awesome. Keep it up!

I see that a lot of people are frustrated by powers that seem bugged or unbalanced. Thanks for posting! The short answer is that the powers team is working like frenzied gnomes to address your comments (yes, yours!). There's a patch coming in the near future and you'll be able to see a huge list of all the stuff they've fixed in the patch notes.

I can call out a few things that I know are fixed or getting fixed. Knockback resistance is in the patch, which should make powers like Shotgun Blast more strategic and less spammy. This morning I heard the powers team debating how Tazer Arrow should be rebalanced (I heard "add a cooldown and make it cost less energy," but they hadn't decided yet). I also believe that Chill was on the plate at some point.

I also know there are lots of other powers that could use tweaking (Teleport, I'm looking at you). My advice is: Patience, grasshoppers! Champions has just launched, and you can expect the improvements to continue in leaps and bounds. If you really want to be on the cutting edge, hop on the Public Test server, and do some PvP there to test out the latest changes!

if they put a cooldown on it its pointless to get it... Teleporter already have a disadvantage we cannot stay in the air and shoot from the sky or fly up high fast...&nbsp; sure people abuse it and jump away before they die but fixing that will be a bitch because I do it too but not in pvp

The quick way to fix it would be to increase the amount of powers that prevent TP altogether, but that's a bit too much hurt to porters.&nbsp; Personally, I try to stack as much DoT on a porter as possible so even if he ports, he dies.&nbsp; However, being able to port and pick up items is completely bullshit in my opinion since the whole teleport concept is that you're phased.&nbsp; You're phased enough to not get dealt damage, but you're not phased enough so you can pick up powerups?&nbsp; I call bullshit.&nbsp; Hell, taking that out alone might be enough.&nbsp; Or even a 1 or 2 second delay between jumps when getting out of combat.&nbsp; Not the first one, but a few of the follow up jumps.&nbsp; At least then would could chase and interrupt.&nbsp; Or even a slight charge in PvP to port.&nbsp; Or an opportunity to interrupt it before it fires off.&nbsp; I took a video, hit a person right as they were porting with T-bolt Lunge with Essence Assault and the port *still* went off fine.&nbsp; That's a bunch of crap IMO.&nbsp; I think port isn't a BS power like everyone else does, but I do think it has way more advantages than disadvantages when comparing it to any other power.&nbsp; It should get you out of dodge and prevent damage plus allow you to get to safety.&nbsp; However, the current implementation doesn't allow any chance of prevent or disable on it, like all the other travels have.

My 2 cents on the biz.

jared had a point just make it so that in the pvp areas TP'ers can still be targeted like any other travel power


BUT what about the digging people >.> noone complains about them but they can stay underground and not be attacked... even worse I would think

They should make it so you can pick 2 travel powers. World travel, and PVP travel, and just take teleport off the list of the PVP travel powers.

Theres no way they are going to put a cooldown on teleport, eg. teleport into the air only to fall to the ground and take massive falling damage, it just wouldnt work, and would make the power worthless to pick.

Here's how it will be fixed, in my opinion.

- You will still be able to land hits on them whilst they are teleporting.

It is also my opinion that they SHOULDNT add any more powers to disable teleport.
The reason for this is that teleport has limited mobility (if your not teleporting, your running like a snail on the ground compared to SS,Acro)
Whilst their teleporting, they cant attack, whereas superspeeders can still run around blasting you.

In the meantime if teleport is such a problem for you, then cast a hold on them, stun them, or use whatever else stops teleport.

EDIT: As for the 'being able to get powerups" thing, That is a benefit which makes teleport worth taking, if you teleport onto a health power up then why would you not be able to get it? Its how teleport is intended to work, THAT BEING SAID, as teleport is currently phasing the player whilst they are teleporting around, then they should not be able to interact with any part of the world until the phase has worn out.
(TL;DR: It sucks that they can pick up powerups whilst phased but when they make the change so their is no more phasing, it will be a benefit to taking teleport)

Being able to hit someone while they are teleporting would be the ideal solution, but the whole phased while teleporting biz is what blows that idea. I'd be happy if only dimensional, ego, or both (paranormal) damage was able to hit them while porting.&nbsp; If that was the case, taking a paranormal or whatever power replacer would be a great solution.&nbsp; If people don't like that, then they could just pick up one paranormal power to use exclusively on TPing foes.

I hear you on this one.&nbsp; I took some powers and advantages that help with canceling travel powers and locking down people, but the fact remains that TP has natural counters to those counters.&nbsp; For instance, T-bolt Lunge with EA.&nbsp; Every other travel power, I can see that someone is either using a travel or going to travel and I can counter it.&nbsp; Fliers fall down to the ground.&nbsp; Runners slow to normal speed.&nbsp; Tunnelers get their tunnel canceled.&nbsp; With porters, you have a sliver of a window, and you have to guess at when the power is going to be used.&nbsp; If you wait til it is, it's too late.&nbsp; Every power except port and tunnel can be canceled when they are in use.&nbsp; Tunnel has an interrupt period of about 3 seconds, maybe even 4 or 5.&nbsp; Port has a cancellation period of about .2 seconds.&nbsp; That's why port is considered 'OP' by many.&nbsp; (And I hate that term, so my apologies in using it)

If you teleport, jump out of port onto a powerup, then you port again, you should be able to take the powerup, no questions asked.&nbsp; However, in its current form, you can pick up powerups in mid-teleport, phased where nothing can hit you or cancel your travel.&nbsp; If they allow you to do that, you should become at least 'semi-phased' so your travel can be canceled.&nbsp; I've seen too many people stay phased, grabbing up all the powerups, then return to the fight like it just started.&nbsp; You can grab powerups with tunnel, which is BS too.&nbsp; They should make you exit fully, then give a slight window of opportunity to cancel the travel.

(Also, about tunnelers:&nbsp; People don't complain about tunnelers since it takes a few seconds to actually tunnel, which you still take damage in, and in the first seconds of travel you still can be damaged.&nbsp; It isn't a oh-shit button like port is.&nbsp; It can be interrupted easy and you can tag people in the first moments of travel; two things currently untrue in 90% of cases with port.)

Yup its definately an issue, keep in mind I don't actually play CO but i'm basing my opinions from City of Heroes, they should have just kept teleport the way it was in CoH, no phase, no bullshit.

I hear ya on that.&nbsp; TP on CoH was way easier to deal with.&nbsp; I do like TP in CO, but it just needs a little tweak to make it balanced with the other powers.

I don't see what all the bitching is about Teleport.  I'm perfectly capable of killing anyone that spams Teleport.  Notice how after their initial attack, Teleport is on a 10 seconds cooldown?  That's more than enough time to own someone in the face.<div>

But if they nerf all your toons, you'll get bored of the game and go play something else... then who will annoy the shit out of everyone playing champions? <3
