I heard about a argument that got out of hand with a Officer and non officer in vent? I only know what was told to me as I was not in there myself, but it came from someone who was. So only my opinion based on what I was told, and not experiance.
Officers have to set the standard for professionalism within the guild. Unfortunatly what I heard had started out as just for fun, was then misinterpreted by a member who hasnt been in the guild long enough to detect the sarcasim and humor of some of us more blunt and sarcastic individuals (Nensi (me), Hue, Aribella, Rod, Krampus as the top "abrassive", but awesomely fun, hurmorists).
Reguardless of original intent, all of us, the Officers especially, have to be careful of this simply because they represent the guild itself more so then any other members. We are all adults here though, and should be grown enough to take things with a pinch of salt when they fly our way and rub a little wrong. If there is a problem that warrents reactions though, then Officers should pull the individual out and into a private vent chat with other Officers in it to work it out. Simple as that.
