It's been 1,037 days since I last played a video game. The mornings are lonely and the nights are long and cold. Sometimes I walk down the street and see smiling people, knowing that they probably have a community in a virtual world that fulfills all their needs for companionship and fraternity.

"I used to have that," I like to mutter to myself wistfully when I see this.

That's where I am. In my life. Emotionally.
