Aion pre-select and head start

turns out aion is having one of the most successful open betas in history. saw the headline some where this morning but i'm too lazy to look for it again.
 
The only server I found to be playable is Vaizel. Lag was unplayable on all the others. The open beta wasn't meant to be much of a guild thing (at least not an official event). This is more of a find the character class you like and mess around with crafting and such kinda thing. The real fun starts here in about two weeks with the hard core headstart events.<div>
</div><div>Also, I will be playing a chanter as my main, but I know for sure my brother will be playing a tank and lets be serious here, DPS is never hard to find. Especially in a game that is gonna draw so heavily from the WoW crowd (shudder). </div>
 
Well, I guess I had better delete my Elyos character on Siel then. I know the beta wasn't supposed to be an organized affair, but come on, I'm a priest. We're like an extra hole in the head without someone to follow around healing. (Except for the part where I'm running around being OP and soloing mobs.)

Sorry if the wording in the calender description was confusing. The idea was always to be Asmodians, and Siel was the main server, but we haven't finalized it yet. NCSoft hasn't released the full server list

</div><div>No, no, no. Play whatever you want during the open beta, it's all getting wiped in five days anyway. This is the best chance you have to experiment and play around with different classes, crafting trees, etc before launch. Also to learn as much as possible about the game so come head start we can stay ahead of the massive numbers of players this game is gonna have at launch. </div>
 
I rolled a chanter today and am getting the hang of it during beta.  Since Tryden wants to blast to lvl 25 asap at launch I'm also taking the time to read through the quests available.  Also, I got a part-time job today finally (woohoo) so Jared will be getting a copy too to be able to dabble when not on CO, or to be able to play together with me.

Me and Genma both rolled Glads, level 18 right now and loving it, wouldnt mind a healer for those black claw elites, tough bastards.
 
My Elyos character was level 1 - I just made her to save my name mostly. But I've actually been playing on Lumiel (the server I originally rolled on before I knew what the heck I was doing) and I'm almost level 11 (It's low, I know. It's hard to share an account with someone who is just as excited to play as I am - we both want to be on and leveling. Plus, I really like exploring and reading the story.) Flying is as fun as I thought it would be.

Congrats on finding a part time job, Hanna. I don't know what the job market is like over where you are but if it's anything like where I am you deserve a party or at least some balloons and a cookie.
 
So I am loving the hell out of my mage currently. May even sway me from my chanter. Depends on how I like the Spiritmaster class but this two shotting things is nice. Granted I do have less armor than a hobo...
 
Well, since I can get Aion too (though most of my time will be in Champions by far) I'll a the back-up Ranger.  I will keep playing the arrow-chucking class in fantasy MMOs until Tryden learns to love melee DPS or we all move to Champions to have a super-powered orgy*.<div>

The ranger class looks pretty solid from what I could tell, no experience playing em....but they KS Lanks and I all the time.
