Yep, spirit masters get a buff later on that provides a 20% increase to the drop rate. SMs are also probably gonna be the most underplayed class at launch, why? There pets CAN'T FLY. I wanted to play a SM so very badly, their pets are actually pretty good, good DPS, and hands down the best CC in the game. But there were two deal breakers I just couldn't get over. DOTs for SMs don't stack. So if one SM puts a DOT on someone and then another SM dots em, the DOT just resets. Two, already mentioned, pets don't fly. So in any PvP situation since SMs are just as squishy as Sorcs the Sorc will always, always win as their DPS is far, far better. This isn't to say SMs are a bad class. They are hands down the best solo class in the game. You never, ever have to stop and can easily kill things far above your level. In group situations they are never unwanted. Awesome CC, good DPS and that %20 drop rate increase is nommy. But I love some PvP and it's gonna be hard PvPing with out pets that can't fly.<div>
</div><div>Now you know. Also, full disclosure, I am almost certainly playing an SM as my secondary character at launch. I had a shit ton of fun with them during open beta and can easily keep him as my PvE char while making my chanter a PvP monster. The SM takes practice, looots of it but once you get good they really good times. It will remain to see how they fair during pvp that determines if I ever really take the char seriously. </div>
