Hey guys, so I think I have a solution lined up. I know I said it would probably be October before we got a new site, but if this pans out I will do it ASAP, which will be sometime this month. Our new forums would use phpBB3 forum software and we would pay for our own host, so we would own the database, unlike our current situation.

The whole thing is a little costlier than I was expecting. If you are sitting on donations and can contribute something, EVEN $1, please use the donation button on the front page.

Fundraising update:

We've raised $140 of what's expected to be about $500 in end costs. I'm willing to put in $250 of my own money, but will cover whatever we need if we can't raise another $110.

But I know we can raise another $110. This community has been around for 8 years. It will be around for many more. And now it gets to be around with A BEAUTIFUL NEW WEBSITE.

Guys, I'll be hiring a developer soon to get a landing page designed (so when you go to vindictiveonline.com there's actually something there). I'm also going to get him/her to design some quality of life improvements like having a recent posts feed at the bottom of this forum, like our old GP one. I'll likely be making payment within the next week, so if you were planning to donate, PLEASE DO SO SOON.

Thanks guys. I don't take your contributions for granted. Every single cent you've given me has gone into this new website, and so has a lot of my own money (not to mention a lot of work). I've been getting about four hours of sleep a night getting all of this up and running. But it will all be worth it in the end. (=
