Wellp, it's 3:15 EST. The NC Soft patcher updated Aion, so my assumption would be that it made it pre-select ready. Still can't connect to the authorization server, so my assumption #2 for today would be that their server is already overloaded with people trying to get in. The home page won't load, either. Lol, figures. People are too damned excited.
 
 #Aion disappearing fix will be patched in two steps. You can restart to patch the first already. Second patch will come soon.less than 20 seconds ago from Seesmic

#Aion servers are not live. If you're stuck at the login screen, that's why ^^ I will let you know as soon as they go live.half a minute ago from web
 
I'm gonna give it like an hour or so maybe and try again, who knows.

I can't tell you how many fucking times I have done that.

I did the Repair (consistency check) and its repatching, I'll see if that does anything.

Toxic -  Do you run Peer Guardian or any such sort of program? It's possible your blocking NCsofts IP range if so. I would suggest rebooting the comp, router. Maybe do a tracert to NCsofts servers and find out where you're going wrong?<div>

yeah forums ive read said there were problems with the servers and they had to come out with a quick patch.

so when I get home from work we will see how that goes.
 
I was advised first to turn off AVG. I did that, still nothing. I haven't installed a thing with the exception of drivers, AVG, CCleaner, Defraggler, Microsoft Office, Steam for Arkham Asylum, and Ventrilo. Not a thing. I just don't know. And yes, I've rebooted my computer several times in this process.

I looked at the forums but it seems to be something that the patch fixed
 
Ok, here's something QUITE interesting. Now, I know it's just my computer (which pisses me off, because it's brand new). On the old computer I used before I built this one, I still have all the Aion stuff updated and installed. I don't know why I didn't think of this previously, but yeah (It is also connected through a different network than my current computer). So I loaded it up on that PC, and logged right in without a problem. Saved my characters.

Now that I'm past that point, its straight to debugging the MUCH BETTER network that is on my new PC. That or the client, or something. Idk. Any tips?
 
When you say different network are you talking about your NIC(Your network card) or a completely different topology (Like router, modem, etc...)? If that's the case, have you tried swapping the old NIC into your new comp to see if that's the problem? Have you had trouble with *any* other MMOs or websites? I still think it's a program on your computer that is blocking the IP, but lemme know about the network stuff.
