Whats the battle plan?

Anyone know what the battle plan for vindictive is? As a member I would really like to know what the leaders are discussing and planing for the future of this guild. Each time I ask I keep hearing "we are looking in to options" "this is how it always is during the summer" etc. I would just like a straight answer =( Because I really don't want to go through another lotro with aion or co. We have like what 8 officers or so? someone has to have come up with something as a backup plan? And it can't be just me that is wondering "what will the future bring?" I personally think we lost at least 50% of the hardcore mmo'ers after the warhammer incident and that is why we are stuck in this well whatever you want to call it that we are doing at the moment.

This is what it looks like to me, the vindictive "core" is off in nirvana doing something with their life ( acceptable but don't leave the others dead in the water without any kind of information ) Jared still plays CoH which is great someone with dedication. But honestly the reason or at least one of the reasons is because he has someone to play with and talk to. I would play CoH but i think getting PL'ed on my first character kind of ruined it for me as I was unable to do any of the quests or explore the areas while doing the quests.

The lotro weekend was fun even if people didnt play it we all got on vent and had a good time. Notice the words "good time" even without a game to play people can have a good time on vent or even the forums but besides like 13 people out of the whole guild no-one really posts on there.( and no office threads dont count ) I dont know for sure but someone has to be paying for both the website and vent. It should atleast be used so that the money is not being wasted.

Talking to different people on Xfire or other chat tools they all get the same feeling about the guild but I'm the one that opens her mouth. Which gets me in trouble a lot but sometimes it also rattles the cage in a good way.

Im not trying to point anyone out or be mean to anyone, but just like i said. What is the battle plan?

Well, I'm not officer status so I can't really speak for them.  However, I do know that if we move to CO, we'll probably be a pretty solid guild.  Why CO?  Because it's a super hero MMoRPG, and that's where Tryden gave birth to Vindictive, if anything we wont be on and off, we'll mostly be active, probably more so than WAR.  Why CO?  Because Aion doesn't seem to have much in the customization department, every class gets the same powers and etc...<div>
</div><div>LoTRO became this way because it was a "filler" game while we wait for the more-anticipated release of other MMO's, which is pretty much just CO and Aion.</div><div>
</div><div>Don't worry though, I'm sure we're all thinking exactly what you're thinking, we just didn't post our thoughts =X</div><div>
</div><div>Also, I'll actually be playing CO (I still didn't buy LoTRO), and we all know that the guild stays more active and grows a hell of a lot quicker whenever I'm active :]</div><div>
</div><div>I'm like the rogue/assassin/etc...in Vindictive.  No one really wants me in their party, and I'm usually seen as a burden, but hell I'm...</div><div>
</div><div>..sorry lost it.</div>

Well, I can't find a job to save my life, my boyfriend just got laid off, and my dad (I'm living with my parents supposedly until I find a job) is going to be laid off in two weeks. My rents are going to be turning off all the nonessentials - cable, internet, w/e else, so I may be MIA for a while - though I may post a few times before the net is actually shut off. I'll try to log in at the library sometimes. Good luck, Vindictive. Thanks for letting me spew nonsense at you so much

EDIT: Spine, you can stop worrying about me usurping your throne now lol

EDIT2: There is a slight internet reprieve since my madre reminded my padre that they agreed to a two year contract not 6 months ago, so until they come up with 2 or 300$ to cancel early or work something out with the company (doubtful) I will still be online. Probably looking for jobs and trying to sell shit I have laying around more than posting, but I'll be accessible.

...Anyone want a pair of apprentice level hand knit socks? Made with peruvian wool or something like that.
Looks like this, but mostly done.

Considering I'll prolly be playing CO and hardly none of you has ever played any type of MMO with me, you should be scared.

But anyway any comments suggestions on the original post? The only productive ones are from Spine and Frooz so far.

Well, to be honest I don't see what the issue with CoH is.  IF the issue is only "I don't wanna PL" then don't PL.  If all you've really done is just that then you haven't really played the game.  There's a ton of lore and a whole bunch of zones to explore and get badges in.  Both sides have a ridiculous amount of official atory arcs and just the "Dev's Choice" AE arcs are also an amazing place to play through some good story and lore.  CoH scales wonderfully for most classes and combinations to both solo and large team play.<div>
</div><div>Personally my interests will remain with CoH where Hanna enjoys playing an MMO with me.  I myself haven't found anything I like better anyway.  As I've said I'm not much into fantasy (I'll endure it if we go to a fantasy based game) and I do really like sci-fi.  I have an SG and VG on Virtue for anyone who'd care to try it out.</div><div>
</div><div>I must place a disclaimer for Jared/CoH:  I play really bizarre schedules.  I will easily put ten hours (until classes start) a day into CoH but they are really random some days as to when those hours take place.  Hanna is far more regular and will probably enjoy teaming with folks who play during sane-people hours.</div><div>
</div><div>Lastly, I don't really understand all too well why Vindictive left CoH so thouroughly.  I understand that Issue 13 brought alot of inane changes but PvP is still fun in zones and arena.  The regular content is still fun too.  Sure the game has it's rock/paper/scissors scenarios most of the time but its pretty easy to work around that in PvP and PvE with some ingenuity and effort.</div><div>
</div><div>I just find CoH fun still.</div>

Jared, aren't you going to jump over to CO when it comes out with us as well?  If you like CoH, I'm sure CO is going to incorporate a lot of CoH stuff and then some more.<div>
</div><div>And Gorbella = Frooz.  Ash = Ash lawlz</div>

Yes sir, I can handle that, but can you handle the possibility of dying from suffocation after not being able to breathe from laughing so hard at that point at all the madness that is sure to come?

I just find CoH fun still.

I understand that and thanks for the information on your point of view on CoH. It's great that you are having fun with a game

I never said anything is wrong with it, all I said in a nutshell is that after getting my first char Pl'ed it felt like reading a book after someone told me how it ends.

But this is still not exactly what I am asking/looking for.

I'll be subbing to both games.  I am almost certain that while both MMO's they will be nothing like one another in the long run.  Thus, I will still like CoH while playing CO.

Also, back on track, what's wrong with the various "Trial Weekends" idea?  It was cool to see/hear folks playing LoTRO and all but wasn't there more games to try out and such?

Also also, last I talked to Renek and Tryden and Ash you guys were really gung-ho about LoTRO.  Have you guys dropped off from that game recently?

(Just curious/keeping the conversation ongoing to see if we come to any ideas/solutions...)

Well I was still playing up to yesterday but with tryden always afk =p renek busy, lanks getting bored of it. And all the new members going poof it was just me and that gets boring if you have noone to talk to or something like that.

Well, CO will be different from CoH, if it's the same then I would just be playing CoH lolz.<div>
</div><div>Anyhow, I'm sure that the whole sci-fi superhero thing will be the same, and all the uber powers and all, although different, is still going to be same-ish, with of course exceptions to graphics and effects and such.</div><div>
</div><div>I'm thinking of subbing back to CoH for a bit.  I just left last time because you said Hanna, your friends, and yourself were going to get together for a super team or something, but that never happened when I was on and I waited forever :[.  Oh, and my desktop broke down so that's why I wasn't playing CoH, or anything else for that matter, but I was able to get my desktop back and running soo...what are you guys doing on CoH?</div>

Some other thread I mentioned that a super hero game for me should be like superman vs doomsday. Tossing in to buildings have debris kill bystanders, grab someone fly up reaaaaaallly high then crash them down and fall through to the subway and maybe use a train as a baseball bat. Or when flying at full speed and then Oups was there a building in my way....

But back on topic any comments on the original post =O
(yep I'm gonna be anal about it)

Well, from the looks of it, CO has some really nice physics.  If you get knocked back, it actually looks like you got knocked back, instead of just floating back like all the other MMO's.  Unlike the knockbacks in CoH, CO is much more realistic and CO boasted something about interactive combat instead of just button smashing all the time.  After reading some of the skill descriptions, I find this true.<div>
</div><div>I'll admit I doubt that you can grab someone and fly way the hell up and smash them through buildings and etc...but at least it's hell of a lot better than standing there and either swinging your sword around at some elves or using some outdated bow and arrows.</div><div>
</div><div>And of course we can't forget...TRAVEL POWERS!!! HELL YEAA!!  This was one of the main reasons why I love CoH, being able to get from A to B in more ways than one.</div>
