Part of me wanted to keep playing but I'm pretty sure that was just the same part of me that's been desperate for something new to play.
Pros:
Graphics- They were pretty nice and they'll only get better consider all the graphics currently in beta are placeholders.
Combat- I like combat that isn't your standard WoW-type combat that's just "target mob, mash buttons on target, repeat."
Quests- They have a good start with their questing system. It's definitely more immersive(is that even a word) than your typical MMO quests. The way they did character phasing is pretty great but still buggy when questing in a group.
Cons:
Combat- It's a good start but it leaves a lot to be desired. It was clunky and sometimes unresponsive. There are other games with similar combat that have made the transition between attacking, blocking, dodging, and using skills much more fluid. This was kind of disappointing.
Character Models- I wasn't too happy with the models. They looked super old school and didn't have a lot of diversity within each race. The character creation was pretty lacking but I'm pretty biased; I'm a sucked for good character creation and I have high standards now.
Classes and Skills- Their system has potential but I ended up being slightly disappointed. I COULD be wrong about this opinion and maybe there's more skills later on in the game that are available, but I felt limited even with the 4 classes and 3 trees. That is because, even with the racial, weapons, and other skill trees, you can't blend them as much as you'd like. There will always be a "best" route and when you only give us 6 slots, it doesn't work so well with the "pick anything you want!" idea. Your ability bar will be so limited that you'll only pick one sort of specialization and everything else is unnecessary (because of the way passives work). I also didn't like their synergy system. It was a big let down. I thought it would be closer to GW2 where you can pick which skill to use with another player's "combo starter" ability. In TESO, synergy abilities mean one person uses a synergy ability, and other people run up and hit X to interact with it with a predetermined animation and attack.
Quests- Even though they were better than typical MMO quests, they still felt kind of lame sometimes. Half of the time the quests were cool but only because of what I SAW not because of what I read/heard and I didn't get into the dialogue or story much. A lot of the quests I just stopped caring and sped through the dialogue.
